-A few weeks later-

*Erica's POV*

Everything between Harry and me has gotten better. I forgave him even though he really hurt me, but that's the past now. I haven't been more close with him than I am now. Right now, we're sitting together in first hour playing footsies instead of doing our class work. I look over and giggle a little, he smiles back at me. I love him more and more everyday. But, yesterday he was acting weird. He didn't want to hangout after school like we always do. I didn't think much of it though because he came over slept night anyway. He walks me to my second hour class and kisses me, "See you at lunch sweetheart." I hug him and enter class. The smile on my face never seems to fade when he's around.

Second hour flies by in what feels like a matter of seconds.

Time for third. I sit down next to Liam and we get out our essays and pretend to start working. Instead of actually working, we're talking about One Directions ever growing fan base. Suddenly, Taylor hall approaches me. Behind her is Danny greenfield. I've never met him til now, but Harry says Danny is awful. They both look at me with an eyebrow raised. "Groupie. Outside. Let's talk now." Taylor motions me to the door. I look to Liam and he shrugs. We both are totally clueless of what's going on.

Taylor's arms are crossed and she looks concerned. "What was that before you went into second?" She starts questioning me.

"Umm, I was having a moment with my boyfriend? What else would that be? And how did you even see that??" I begin to feel creeped out.

"We've got to show you something, Groupie." They say in it in unison, the hair on my back stands up. This can't be good.

She whips out her smart phone and pulls up Harry's Instagram. She clicks unfollow, "Look he's gone private. And would you read his bio?" I read the words -One direction singer, single, 17- my heart sinks. This can't be real. Taylor snaps her fingers in my face, "You're zoning out on me. Look, I don't even like you. But, what Harry did there is so not cool if you two are still together."

I shake my head and try to deny what I just saw with my own two eyes. How could this be? Things were going so well I thought? Danny Greenfield pats me on the back and whispers in my ear, "I'm here if you need a one night pick me up." My skin crawls. What a creep!

Taylor grabs the door handle, "Danny. Let's go. And Groupie, I suggest you text him and question this. We'll back you up if you need it." They go back into class, and I take a moment to let everything sink in. Is this his way of dumping me? No, it can't be. I whip out my phone and dial his number, I'm greeted by a robotic prerecorded message: The number you have dialed is no longer in service. Please check the number and call again.

No no no. Not his phone too. I check his Instagram from my phone. I click "Request to follow", and a notice pops up. "This user has blocked you." I let out a gasp, crushed again. The bell rings and I'm swarmed by bodies trying to get to their next destination. Liam grabs me by the arm and we walk to lunch together.

We're sitting at our usual table. Niall, Liam, Louis, Zayn. I tell them all my traumatic story from third hour, but none of them look shocked. This is not the reaction I was expecting. Zayn, who is usually distant from me, speaks up,

"He told us all last night that he was going to your house to break things off with you. Is that not what happened?" He speaks calmly, trying to understand what's going on.

"No. No. That's not what happened at all. Everything was fine! And today things were great! I don't understand." I begin to sob and Niall hugs me.

"He's hurt you so much. We all don't know why, but what we do know is he truly loves you Erica." He speaks with confidence and I smile through the tears. "I suggest we all take the rest of the day off and find Harry."

We go back to the guys condo, and find Harry laying in his bed. I sit next to him and rub his arm; he looks up at me. His eyes are bloodshot. I can tell he's been crying. I wipe his tears away, the way he does mine, and kiss him on the cheek. "I have no idea what's going on Harry, but I'm here to help you and talk." My voice is soft, but firm. He props himself up.

"Erica, I'm tired of hurting you. My fame is hurting you. It's hurting us." He confesses without me pushing him, "All the fangirls, they say horrible things about you. I can't bear to read it or think that anyone would say such bad things about you, me, or us." I go in for a kiss, but he covers my mouth with his hand. Rejected.

*Harry's POV*

My eyes sting, and tired doesn't even begin to describe how drained I am. I cover her mouth when she tries to kiss me. This moment is far too serious for kisses. I gaze into her eyes, she looks so concerned but so lovely. "I need my privacy. Not from you. From the fans. From all of this. I disconnected my phone, turned my Instagram private, I just need to be alone." She looks down and strokes her hand through my hair. I love when she does this, but I need to stand my ground. "We are not breaking up. We just need to say we have online. I don't love you any less. This is for your good." She can't look me in the eyes. I feel like I've just hurt her even more, right when things were fixed between us.

"O-okay. I get it. It's to protect me. I love you" She stutters. Her speech is bumpy cause she's holding back tears again.

" I love you too, baby girl." I reassure her.
