*Harry's POV*
I look underneath the crack of the door, it's pitch black inside the room. But, I know Erica is in there. There's no place else she could be. I bang on the door harder, hoping for a reply. I hear some extremely faint mumbles, "He does love me. He does." I know her voice from anywhere. The other boys have heard me pounding on the door and are now surrounding me.
"What.. What're you doing to that door?" Zayn questions scratching his head skeptically.
"Erica is in there. Please. Help me get inside."
Zayn and I both kick the door simultaneously, knocking it down.
Dark. Black. Lifeless. I feel around the wall for a light switch. As soon as I click it on, I slightly gag at the sight.
The room is smaller than my bathroom, in desperate need of a paint job, and a complete eyesore. But, that's not what really mattered. I see Erica passed out on the floor, her phone screen completely shattered and her arms cut and bleeding. I clicked on her screen, a text from an unknown number appeared. It read: Harry wants nothing to do with you anymore. So leave him alone. He doesn't need you to drag him down more. None of the boys do.
I delete it quickly, while feeling absolutely infuriated. What a lie that text is! Erica is the furthest thing from a burden on me or any of the boys. I punch the wall closest to me and shake my head. Erica and I aren't even dating right now, but I still love her. I wish we could just put this crap aside so I could talk to her and find out what's really going on--from her.
I rub her arm vigorously in attempt to wake her up. "Erica, my love.." I whisper close to her face, "wake up please. It hurts me to see you like this." I never meant to be so cliche and stupid, but right now she looks so gorgeous. I wanted nothing more than to kiss her, so I do. I support her back with one arm, and hold her neck gently with my hand. I plant a passionate kiss on her lips and hold her close, forgetting the boys were there. It was such a Disney movie move, but I couldn't help it.
After I remove my lips from hers, she slowly begins to regain consciousness. She pushes back one of my curls from my face, "I just had the weirdest dream..." She giggles softly, her voice only a small whisper, "It was you kissing me. It felt so real... It was amazing." I couldn't help but laugh at how cute she was.
"Babe, that was no dream. Pure reality." I assure her.
"Okay lovebirds, let's move this along here." Liam jokes at us, elbowing Niall to signal him to laugh at the joke. Niall's laugh sounds so robotic and forced it makes all of us laugh even harder. I swoop Erica up off the ground and we all head to our hotel for the night.
*Ericas POV*
I don't remember passing out. I'm just glad I did.. Not to mention my awakening couldn't have been any better than it was. Harry and I still were broken up and suppose to be in a fight but for some reason he stayed with me since I woke up. He's barely talking to me, but he won't let me be alone. I can't take this awkward silence any longer. I climb onto the couch where he's watching television, "Harry, let's talk." He looks at me endearingly, not taking me for granted even a second.
"What would you like to talk about, sweetheart?" He pats a spot for me to sit right next to him.
"I just want to tell you everything I haven't told you since the coma." He gazes into my eyes, giving me his total undivided attention.
The whole explanation, detail for detail, took nearly an hour. I wanted to be completely honest so I told him everything. Even the fact that, they're still here and I don't know why. He didn't judge me once. He just listened, and nodded when necessary. After I finished, he began his response to me.
*Harrys POV*
I can't believe what she just told me. It sounded crazy- like a made up horror story... I knew she was telling the truth though. Everything was too detailed to be made up. This situation was the kind of experience that can scar someone forever. The way her eyes lit up while telling the story, made me melt. She was so passionate about this. So honest. I couldn't judge her, not after all she had been through. That would be just wrong.
I grab her hand, massaging it with my thumb. "I'm at a complete loss for words..." I start off with a shaky voice, "This... This is all my fault. If I had never let you out of my sight during that chase... You would have never fell. Never gotten hurt. Never had to deal with this." I felt pure guilt and regret. I caused the only girl I've ever loved so much suffering. "I love you. I'm completely and totally in love with you. No demon can change that." I can see her eyes tearing up. I can't tell if it's good or bad... So I just continue, "Broken up or not, you know I will always be here to support you and listen." The words "broken up" kills me to say cause I wish it wasn't true, but I can't show her how weak she truly makes me. Her smile becomes shallow when she hears those words too. Could it be possible I make her feel weak too?
*Erica's POV*
My heart shrivels when he says "broken up". I try to keep my smile, but it fades quickly. I abruptly stand up to leave the room, "Goodnight Harry." My words come out strained, practically a whisper. Our hands separate and our finger tips brush. I know he's watching me walk away, but I can't go back to him right now. Then he will win; for once he doesn't deserve to.
