Bloody Secrets
Traffic and sirens blurred past as silence grew over the house. The soft glow from lamps filled the room but a dark shadow loomed over Kendall's face. Tingling chills trailed down my back as I lent against the door frame. The silence was growing over the house. I sighed, I wanted answers.
"Did you think I won't find out?" I screamed across the solitary living room. I stood firmly in the doorway, blocking any exit plan of Kendall's. Kendall, on the other hand, lent on the far wall. His eyes concentrated on his feet; hands rested in his pockets.
"Do you think I'm stupid?" My eyes were intent. My brain longed for answers. My body was shaking violently on the cold boards. Why did we have to fight?
"I'm waiting for my answer." I crossed my arms over Kendall's loose, tender T-Shirt. I brushed the strands of hair away from my eyes so my eyes rested, setting into Kendall skin. Kendall would always go out with his friends and think it was okay but it ended up with us fighting. So I expected lies nevertheless I was hoping for a change.
"Kendall," I whispered quietly, brushing my arm that was pricked and raised! "I give up."
A crash from upstairs broke the dreaded silence. Kendall's eyes widened and he straightened his body.
I turned in the doorway glancing towards a dark, grand staircase winding up to the first floor. While glancing at the stairs, I felt the warmth of a body behind me and Kendall pushed past me.
"What the fuck was that?" I gasped looking up the elegant staircase where a table lie on it's side.
"Probably just the wind!" Kendall shrugged his shoulders and lent against the wall again.
"I'll go check." I whispered placing my foot on the first wooden step but Kendall stopped me with a worried gaze.
"You stay here, I'll go." His usually gentle hands pressed hard.
"You said it was just the wind." I raised an eyebrow, pushing his hard hand off my shoulder. "I'll go!" I started to go upstairs.
"[Y/N] I'm asking you to stay here." His voice was heavy; his eyes were not their usual freshly cut emerald green color but were shadowed. "Promise me, you'll stay here." He started up the stairs. He trudged upstairs cautiously taking every step slower than the last. When he reached the top Kendall turned the corner to go to the room, we shared together.
"Kendall, is everything okay?" my voice echoed around the house, not only upstairs but downstairs also.
Kendall didn't answer. He was speechless. His eyes upon the french doors that had been closed and locked but were now spread wide open with the glass shattered on the carpet. Also on the cream floor a pile of blood spread around a sharp blade with a small note read:
