"What do you mean?" I ran my fingers through his delicate hair. His muscles stiffened underneath my warm hand that gripped his shoulder.
"I can't tell you." He looked towards the grey corner of the room where there was no light. His voice crackled like fireworks against the blackness of night.
"Kendall," I pleaded with him as I massaged his strong, lean back and shoulders. "We've known each other for five years and you don't trust me."
I could see him thinking it over. His eyes filled in with the darkness that surrounded us, his hair created dark shadows down his forehead and his lips quivered, trembling together.
"I'm afraid," Kendall spoke out on a tiny whisper. "Afraid I'll lose you!"
Kendall's head went back into his hands. I pulled my body next to him and rested in the crook of his neck.
"Ken," I muzzled his neck that was filled with warmth. "I promise you won't lose me."
I played with his fingers that had been dabbled with droplets of water. "Tell me."
His body was framed in moonlight. He got up of the bed and walked to my dresser that lined with all my perfumes and make up. His hands ran over the cool, glass bottle of perfumes.
Suddenly his stopped at a tall, slim bottle and lifted it up. He looked at the bottom where Kendall found a dark, black device that glowed red.
"A bug?" He whispered to himself just loud enough for me to hear.
"What does that mean?" I whispered as he picked of the device and slammed it on the floor before stepping on it.
"Someone's watching us!" He hushed and looked around the room towards the darkness where anything could lie. Or anyone.
