"Are you sure you want to do this?" I quietly ask Sebastian. We're sitting in his dressing room before he goes onstage for his late night interview. We had decided last night that talking about me during his interview would be the easiest way to go public. He had his manager speak to the show executives to make sure they ask him a question about us so that he could announce it. Though now that we're sitting here, about to go through with us, I'm getting cold feet.
It was just such an unknown for me, almost like I was going to be giving up my identity or something. I'm just a few short minutes, I wasn't just going to be some girl he met once in a coffee shop, I was going to be his girlfriend. People are going to analyze and scrutinize every part of me, him, and our relationship together. I don't regret saying yes to being Sebastian's girlfriend, I'm just a little nervous about everyone else knowing about it.
"Yes, I'm sure. But only if you're ready, Eliana. We can always wait a few weeks or months if you need more time." Sebastian said sweetly. He smiled at me in the mirror as he fixed his tie.
I walk over to him and give him a small peck on the cheek. "No, I'm ready. Nervous, but ready."
One of the techs knocked on the door and informed us that they were ready for Sebastian. He hops up from his chair and turns to wrap me in a warm hug.
"It's me and you against the world, okay? Nothing that anyone can say is going to change the way I feel about to, Eliana."
I pull away from his chest and reach up on my tip-toes to press my lips into his. He smiles through our kiss and reaches a hand up to stroke my cheek.
After one more quick kiss, I shoo him out the door so he wouldn't miss his call cue. I make myself comfy in his dressing room, making sure to turn the tv up so I can hear his interview.
"Please welcome, Sebastian Stan!"
I can hear the applause all the way in the dressing room as everyone claps and cheers for Seb. I watch him walk across the stage, smiling and waving to the audience and the cameras.
The interview goes really smoothly. The host asks Sebastian about his new tv show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and they talk about other projects Sebastian has been working on.
"So, Sebastian, some fans have been tweeting us all
morning asking us to talk about your love life. Care to elaborate?"
Sebastian let's out a big chuckle and smiles from ear to ear. I love the way his blue eyes shine in the studio lights.
"I'm not sure I know what you're talking about."
"Oh come on, don't play with us. You can tell us! Who is this lovely lady, Sebastian?"
The camera pans to the host as he pulls out a large picture of the two of us at the coffee shop.
"The two of you look pretty cute together if you ask me."
"She is beautiful, isn't she?"
The audience 'Awwh s' at Sebastian's response.
"That gorgeous girl there is my girlfriend, Eliana."
"Whoa! Girlfriend, huh? Sounds like Mr. Stan here has found love!"
My heart melted as Sebastian's face turned red.
The rest of the interview went by smoothly and by the time Sebastian made it back to the dressing room, my phone was blowing up with texts from friends and messages on Twitter and Instagram. I turn my phone off and Sebastian and I just sit together in the quiet for a moment. Soaking in the last few normal moments of our relationship. Now that word is out there about us, things are definitely going to change.
After we left the studio, we opted for a quiet night at home. We made sure both our phones were off and we just spent the night talking, laughing and enjoying a large pizza.
We fell asleep soon after eating, Sebastian's arms wrapped around me tightly.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." Sebastian whispers in my ear as he snuggles his nose into my neck.
"Mmm good morning, handsome." I reply sleepily.
Sebastian tilts my chin over to plant a sweet kiss on my lips. I make a mental note to get up and brush my teeth as soon as possible.
I hear my phone vibrate on the kitchen island so I quickly hop off the couch to grab it. I see a sweet picture of my mom on the caller ID.
"Hey momma!"
"Hey baby! I know I'm calling early, but your father and I just saw something interesting on the news."
My cheeks flush as she talks. I make my way into my room for a bit of privacy before responding to her.
"Oh really?" I feign innocence.
"I hear there's something going on with you and a certain movie star?" She said sweetly.
"I promise I was going to call to tell you today. Things have just been a whirlwind, momma."
"I understand sweetie. Your father and I are so happy for you! We want to meet this young man soon though, okay?"
"Of course, momma. He'd love to meet everyone back home."
I peek my head through the crack in my bedroom door. Sebastian is lounging on the couch, flipping though a magazine I had on my coffee table. I smile, thinking of him and I taking a trip back to my home to meet my family. He's going to love my little brother. They can bond over movies and superhero's.
I end my call with my mom and rush to the bathroom to freshen up and change into new clothes for the day.
"How does some breakfast sound, sweetheart?" Sebastian says as I come back out from my bedroom.
"That sounds perfect!"
"Good! Can we head to my place first so I can change?"
I nod my head and grab my bag from the table. I'm excited to see Sebastian's place for the first time.
Sebastian calls for a cab as we make our way outside. On the way over, we talk about what we'd like for breakfast and what plans we have for the day.
I lean my head on Sebastian's shoulder as we make our way down the road to his place. He places his hand on my thigh and I close my eyes in pleasure. Every touch from him sent tingles through my body. It all almost feels like a dream. Sebastian is too perfect and I feel like he could disappear at any moment. I snuggle in tighter to his chest, hoping that never happens.
