Osamu showed Atsumu to his bedroom and allowed Atsumu to put down his bag and settle into his room. Standing awkwardly by the bookshelf, Osamu closed his eyes to mentally organise his many questions.
Why did he only bring one bag?
Where's okasan?
Why's his hair so ugly?
Is this really my twin?
His clothes look fancy but worn down...
"-Samu?"
Osamu snapped his eyes open to the sound of his twin's — his twin's! — voice.
"Hm?" Osamu slouched slightly, embarrassed that his thoughts had carried him away from reality. "What's up, Atsumu?"
The Atsumu in question spread out on top of his bed, his white sheets instantly crinkling. This made Osamu cringe. Damn Sakusa and his clean habits. And damn Sakusa and enforcing those clean habits in my mind.
"So what's up with this fancy shmancy school?" Atsumu crossed his legs and pat his bed for Osamu to sit down. He probably felt uncomfortable with Osamu standing with his hands in his pockets right next to the bookshelf.
"Uhm, well, I wouldn't call it 'fancy'," Atsumu scoffed. As for why, Osamu did not know, "however, we do offer a large range of facilities for our students.
"I'm currently in my school's volleyball team, and luckily this school offers one of the best programs any Japanese student can get into. We have multiple different teams, some better than others. For example, my team is Inarizaki, our captain is Kita Shinsuke. This'll probably be the team you'll be sorted into because... well, I'm there. There are, however, many other equally as great teams such as: Itachiyama, Nekoma, Fukurodani, Aoba Johsai — but we call them Seijoh —, Karasuno and more. Each team even has a corresponding animal to go with it! Inarizaki is obviously represented by a fox because foxes are the best animals, but the others are... uh,"
Osamu suddenly felt very self conscious.
Every since he was little, Osamu had a habit for rambling, and as much as his father tried to train him out of it, it stuck to him like glue. This was a part of Osamu that he felt rather insecure about (and Osamu did not get insecure). Suna often reassured him that his rambling was 'cute', but old habits die hard.
Atsumu raised an eyebrow, "no, no. Go on, I'd like to hear more about my potential teammates."
Osamu smiled.
"Well, first of all there's Kita Shinsuke, he's super strict but, like, in a nice way. He's also kind of blunt, and he helps us improve! He's a reliable captain and wing spiker.
"And then there's Aran Ojiro, our team's wing spiker. He's even one of the country's top five aces!" At that, Atsumu gawked, "he's super cool and friendly, so you don't have anything to worry about there."
Osamu thought for a moment, "hm... there's also Suna Rintarō. He's the best middle blocker ever and, well... he's really pretty, and chill, and overall amazing..."
Osamu shook his head. No, don't go on ranting about Suna and his stupid prettiness! That can be saved for another conversation!
Osamu cleared his throat, "and then there's Omimi, Ginjima and Akagi. But you'll meet them all later."
"What about you?" Atsumu asked.
"Pardon?"
"I mean, what about your friends? What're they like?"
