"Ectheldes, Ectheldes, where are you?" Regan was reading in one of the large trees found in Edateen. She knew right away from the use of her Elvish name that it was Enoch or in Elvish, Óldir. Enoch was my Durbatuluk(Protector). Regan jumped down from the tree & found Enoch, he laughed to himself,
"Where have you been? Everyone's been looking all over for you, Master Jareesh has been worried sick, you know you're not to go anywhere without me." Regan rolled her eyes.
"Ya, ya I know, I know, & as for where I was, like I'm going to tell you, then I'll never be able to get away from you." Enoch gave Regan a smug look,
"Fine, just tell me you're leaving next time, so I actually have an idea of where you are." Regan didn't have a choice or she knew Enoch would report what she'd been up too.
"Fine, I promise Durbatuluk Óldir." Enoch hated when I used his Elvish name, he liked being himself when he was with me, not what everyone else expected him to be. Enoch was tall, muscular, with light brown hair, & yellow eyes. Every Elvish girl in the kingdom wanted him, & were completely jealous that someone like me who is pretty ugly compared to all the Elves here was assigned to him. I looked nothing like anyone here. I had short red hair & light green eyes. I had pointed ears, but most of my features looked nothing like th Elves, whichalways lead me to wonder if I was even an elf, but I can't remember anything else & no one's told me differently, so I just excepted being different & was hated because of it. We continued to walk in silence as all my thoughts were directed to how much trouble I'd be in, once I arrived in Master Jareesh's presence. We arrived back at the large oak tree(which were over a hundred years old, & were so big that the Elves' ancestors made them into elaborate homes, buildings, etc.) We entered through the West entryway & went up a large spiral staircase. I looked at Enoch,
"What are we doing here? I thought you said we needed to meet Master Jareesh?" Enoch stopped going up the stairs & looked at Regan with a twinkle in his eyes,
"We are, but I don't think you want us to get caught being outside the safety perimeter, & anyways we're meeting him in his personal chamber today." Regan & Enoch kept ascending the stairs, & Regan thought to herself, this must be very important, because no one ever goes into Master Jareesh's personal Chamber.
