Me & Enoch were standing outside the door to Master Jareesh's personal chambers & I was terrified nobody has every really been to this part of the oak. It's off limits to most of the citizens here. So the fact that they we were standing here, meant I was either in massive trouble & Master Jareesh found out I was traveling past the safety perimeter, or he was going to be telling us something so important that he didn't want anyone else to hear what he was going to say. Enoch could sense my unease & he took my hand. The doors opened & we walked in. The room was spacious & Master Jareesh was sitting at a large white desk, made from a brich tree, behind him was a large window looking out over the whole forest of Edateen. It seemed his sleeping chambers were hidden behind large doors to our left. There were two chairs in front of his desk, he motioned for us to sit down. I took the seat on the right, & Enoch said he would stand, but Master Jareesh insisted Enoch sit down. Master Jareesh nodded to the guards & they left the chamber closing the door behind them. Master Jareesh looked at us both & smiled.
"Well it's nice to see you two, I think it's time for you guys to know some very important history, but what I'm telling you is not something for you to discuss with others. This is for your ears & your ears only." Enoch & I looked at one another not knowing what to expect. We both nodded. Master Jareesh looked at me, his blue eyes piercing mine,
"You my dear are very important to the future of our Kingdom, this is all I will say for now, but I'm sure in time you will begin to discover who you really are." I was taken off guard, I have no idea what he was talking about, & how could I awkward girl be important to anything? Master Jareesh then turned to Enoch & smiled,
"And you my son, you were called for such a time as this to protect & keep Ectheldes safe." Enoch looked at me & winked, a smile spread across my face. Master Jareesh looked at both of us & smiled. He continued on,
"Many years ago, the human kingdom & our kingdom were at peace, the Elves were always the ones who annointed the Kings & Queens of old, they were given a special key, & there was always a group of elders who would report to us on how the King/Queen was doing. There were twelve elders & they consisted of six Elves & six humans we had annointed. There were many rules between humans & Elves, it was forbidden for them to fall in love & they could be nothing more than kindred spirits. As time went on the humans began to rebel against the Elves & there was a King by the name of Ladon, he had very evil intentions & called war against the Elves, many Elves & humans alike died, he brainwashed his people into thinking we were evil & wanted all the power to ourselves & eventually wanted to wipe out the human race, even though we won the war, the relationship has since been severed. The humans have become very violent & have been ordered that if they ever see an Elf to try & kill him/her or get him/her captured. This is the reason why I do not allow you to go past the safety perimeter, because it could be a very dangerous ordeal. The reason why I am telling you this, is because we believe we have the answer to end this ordeal & have peace again. We are not exactly sure of it, we are looking for a special article from the last Queen that died, that an evil group called The Gwainor's are trying to capture & are causing an even greater uprising in the human kingdom. The person that was put in charge after Queen Sheena died has been heavily influenced by their ways." Regan stopped & thought for a moment, Queen Sheena, why does that name sound so familiar to me? Almost like I've heard it in my dreams or something? Master Jareesh noticed the look on Regan's face.
"Is there something wrong Ectheldes?" Regan shook her head,
"No, Master Jareesh the name just seems familiar to me, but I don't know why." Master Jareesh smiled once again,
"My dear things will be revealed in time." Enoch was at a loss for words,
"So how exactly does this involve us & why is this such a secret? I mean if it's something that everyone knows about why are we not allowed to speak of this?" Master Jareesh's face changed,
"Óldir, do you dare question the ancient ways?" Enoch looked hard at Master Jareesh
"No, Master, I'm just trying to understand, tha's all." Regan lookeod at Enoch, she appreciated his ability to speak his mind, unlike her. Master Jareesh nodded,
"Yes, I understand this is a lot to take in, but the reason why this most be kept private is that there is an ancient prophecy that speaks of a new heir, that is both of Elvish & human blood. For the longest time no one understood what it meant until recently I figured it out. There is also another prophecy speaking of one that would rise & re-create a peace that had been lost for many generations. We believe we have found the answer to both & if word got out we fear there would be a riot, & a war would indefinitely come our way." Enoch nodded,
"I understand, but how are we to find this person?" Master Jareesh looked down at his thin brown hands,
"We have speculation of who it is, we don't know where the article is & that's what we are still trying to figure out, as well as we're wating for the person to realize their true self until then we can't do anything. There were specific guidelines in the prophecy that was give, one being we can't reveal to the person who they are." Regan's head was swirling with possibilities, could the person we're talking about be me? That's impossible, but that would make sense as to why I don't have parents, but then what does that mean about who my mother & father are? There's no way. I'm not who we're talking about. It's impossible.
"Ectheldes, Ectheldes we can go?" I looked up & noticed Enoch had finished talking with Master Jareesh & had his hand reached out to me. I looked up & smiled,
"Are you okay?" I nodded,
"Yes, I'm fine, just daydreaming again." I looked to Master Jareesh & bowed as was the proper farewell & said,
"Navaer." Then Enoch took my hand & we walked out of Master Jareesh's peronsal chambers with lots to think about.
