Looking back on this journey of mine
I feel like I’ve trod a thousand miles
I’ve done all that you’ve asked me to do
I’ve given all I can give
I’ve gone on every adventure
and I’ve shed every attachment
Now this task that you’ve placed before me
I’m not sure if I can move forward
For, I fear I’ve lost all faith
Father, I call on you for intervention
I call on you to shine your light
I need your strength to pull me through
Father, I need a sign
I need to see your face and
I need your hand in mine
I fear you’ve left me stranded
unless you prove me otherwise
Father, I’m so tired
so jaded and so weak
With my mind so clouded and distorted
greatness I can never be
Dark thoughts keep me in bondage
the truth I cannot see
Fear has me paralyzed
please come and rescue me
I plead in desperation
Father, please clear the way
I need some indication
For, I fear I’ve lost all faith
All of the sudden
I hear you speak to me
that’s when I hear you say:
“My Son, fear is an illusion
a prison of the mind.
False evidence appearing real;
you need to free your mind.”
“So graciously you come to me,
please, place your hand in mine.
Do not be discouraged,
together we’ll find the courage.”
“For, fear has no Father
let love be your guide.
Fear has no power
let love be your light.”
“Let love guide your life
through all those stormy nights
of tears and grey.
Don’t let fear stop you
or take your dreams away.”
“Stand strong and
push all fear aside,
because it cannot survive
in the presence of your light.”
“So, do not stop the journey
or put an end to your adventure.
And as you continue to move forward
My Darling, never fail to remember that –”

let love be your guide.

let love be your light.”
