Friday: Date night (part 3)

A/N: I've got nothing better to do and I wanted to get this chapter done so I could try and finish this in time. Anyhoo, hope y'all will like chapter 4!

The night wasn't so bad for them. They actually talked, laughed, listen... well one of them wouldn't listen. Seemed everyone was glad they went on dates.
Such a shame their night was almost over when they began eating deserts.
Sunset Shimmer and Deil were sharing some popcorn sundae and creamsicle pie, Rarity and Romero shared a strawberry cake, Fluttershy had a small cookie ice cream desert, Quietcha had a small cheese cake with a strawberry on the side, Pinkie Pie and Emothan shared a chocolate cake together with chocolate milk, Applejack had a apple pie, Buckley had a orange cake, Skyscraper had a chocolate chip cookie cake, and as for Rainbow Dash, nothing on her.
Seems she wants to save her desert for the treat Applejack promised her. She just hope Applejack wouldn't get full after that meal they had.
Seems Fluttershy and Quietcha had a pretty good conversation about communication as they ate their deserts. "See the calmest way of talking to animals is to gently pet their backs and talk in the sweetest and softest way you could. It's almost like whispering."
"That's makes sense." Quietcha said smiling at the pink hair girl. "Thanks. I hope I could do that with the bunny I might get."
"I bet you'll do a great job." Fluttershy smiled at the quiet boy as he did too.
Sunset Shimmer and Deil seem to have the time of their lives. They were enemies before but now that they are better people, they are able to talk about their mistakes in a calm and friendly way.
Rarity and Romero were talking mostly if what their lives would be like if they own a fashion shop together. Seems there will be a future for those two.
"So all smiled have to be wider?" Emothan asked Pinkie. "Doesn't that just hurt your jaw and bones?"
"Oh no. Not unless you leave it on for twenty-four hours." Pinkie answered. "It's always good to have a smile. Now try with me." And so, she put the tip of her fingers to the dimples of her smile and smiled really huge like she always does.
Emothan tries to do the same and make his frown turn upside down. It was definitely hard for him to do, but as it took a while, he finally got a huge smile like Pinkie.
Pinkie was proud to be his date.
Applejack and Buckley definitely had a great time. They just kept talking but not so much to where the couple is distracted by each other.
"So I was thinking I could probably move to own barn," Applejack said. "And try to make a fortune to also support my folks like my Granny Smith. She still has a problem with her hip."
"I think that's a good idea." Buckley said as he put his fork down. Then he placed his hand on Applejack's hand very gently. "You know if you ever need an extra hand, my door is always open."
Applejack stared at the boy as he smiled at the beautiful blond. She blushed, very excited with his words of how sweet he was.
Rainbow Dash was definitely pissed by what he was doing. What could she do to stop him? But she guess it was no matter since her friend and we will be getting their treat after this.
"I'm surprise you didn't even want a desert." Skyscraper said as he took a bite from his chocolate chip cookie cake.
"Well, me and Applejack..."
"I mean, desert will cause your fatness, which you definitely have, and make you not even win a race."
That sounded a lot like an insult to Rainbow Dash. Did he just called her fat? What the heck is his deal? She wanted to squeeze her cup and just let it explode all over his face. He was ruining this for her, but she knew who could make it better... right?

"I can't simply thank you enough for a special night Romero." Rarity said looking up into his beautiful eyes as try walked out to the front doors of the restaurant.
"Oh no. I think it's you and your friends I should be thanking." Romero said. "If it weren't for them, my boys, including Emothan, wouldn't be smiling and talking tonight."
And it was true. Everyone seem to come out with big smiles plastered on each of their faces. The only one who wasn't was Rainbow Dash. She seem to be the only one who wasn't able to hold Skyscraper's arm and everything went wrong for her.
"Well I hope everyone had a fantastic night tonight." Romero said to his pals and their girls. "Is there anyone who needs a ride home?"
"I most certainly do." Rarity said grabbing his arm and squeezing it gently like a stuff animal.
"Me and Pinkie Pie definitely need one." Emothan said smiling and holding her hand.
"Wow Emothan. I didn't think I'd ever see you smile. Anyone else?"
"Me and Fluttershy would like a ride please." Quietcha said a little louder than he's ever sound.
"I'm taking Applejack in my car." Buckley said.
"Me and Sunset are walking," but then Deil looked at the sunset and asked "of that's alright?"
"It's okay." She answered with his blushing cheeks.
So then those two couples walked off while everyone got in the van. But as Romero closed his door, he noticed Skyscraper and Rainbow Dash. "Hey do you guy's need a ride?"
It was pretty chilly to the rainbow girl, but as always, before she could ever respond, Skyscraper spoke for them. "We'll be walking too."
Romero look at his friend and only said "Okay. Be careful." Then he started the engine and began to drive.
Rainbow really didn't want to be outside in the cold, but she mostly doesn't want to be around Skyscraper for what he's been doing for the night. But she manage to give him another chance and pretend it never happen.
Thy walked down the quiet sidewalks of their home. Rainbow Dash was shivering pretty bad.
"You're cold?" Skyscraper asked.
"A little." She said feeling a little embarrassed to admit the truth.
She thought it was that moment for the guy to hand over his jacket to the girl so she could be warm. But instead...
"Good thing I brought a jacket." He said. "I always look good in one."
Rainbow Dash wasn't that surprised. She was about to loose it, but she decided to keep herself calm until he does it again.
"Yeah I guess. When I was in j..."
"Do you know that leather jackets were always perfect for boys like me?" Again, interrupted.
This time, she couldn't take it anymore.
"Shut up!" She screamed at the boy as he stared at her surprise. "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" She was screaming so loud, the dogs began to bark of where they're from.
Skyscraper looked at her so surprised, he just couldn't speak well.
"This is ridiculous dude!" She said. "What is wrong with you?"
"What do you mean what's wrong with me? What's wrong with you?!"
"You! You barley let me finish a sentence, you just keep babbling of how better you are than anyone, and you're just..."
"What are you trying to say?"
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" She just couldn't take it. His annoying voice, she just wants it gone. She completely lost it.
"Fine then you stupid example of a girl!"
"Look who's acting like one!"
Skyscraper just decided to walked off leaving the girl all by herself, almost wanting to hit the wall.
Luckily, Buckley came up driving up with Applejack on the other seat next to him. He stopped the car when he saw his friend walking the opposite direction from his date. "Hey partner, what are you doing?"
"I'm going home." He answered as he stopped to look at his friend and his date.
"But what about Rainbow Dash?"
"She's just a... a..." He just couldn't say anything, and decided to keep on walking away from everyone.
Rainbow Dash only looked down on the ground. Some night this came out for her. Her date was a jerk, she's freezing cold, and her best friend has completely forgotten their plan for ice cream.
"Hey sugarcube!" She heard the voice of her friend coming up with her date in a vehicle. "Ya need a ride?"
"I'll be okay. Thanks though." She said not looking up.
"Oh come on. I can't stand to see ya by yourself like a lonely cow when she's missing her cafe. Besides Buckley said he wants to take ya."
"Yeah."
She still couldn't look up to them.
"I'm really sorry about Skyscraper. He's really full of himself sometimes."
"Sometimes? Try all the time."
"Well true. And he does like to look cool, and I understand if he's interrupted you a thousand times. But I would like to take you home for a huge apology."
She just wanted to go home alone. But it was freezing, and he was offering a ride. She just gave up and and jumped into his ride in the back seat.
They drove off, and the ride was a little too quiet. Applejack and Buckley like to talk about their great time and anymore fun stuff they've deal with before, but they didn't want to let Rainbow Dash down even more.
"You know, you guys can talk." She said.
They looked back at her and look on the road again. "Sorry Rainbow." Applejack said. "We just didn't want to say anything that will make ya mad."
"Well I don't exactly like quiet that much, so babbler away."
Applejack looked at her date and smiled with blushing cheeks. Rainbow Dash watched her as she played with her hair. She was about to mention their treat, but then Buckley finally spoke "I believe I had a great time tonight. I jut wish everyone did."
"I think so." Applejack said. "Rarity seem to have a laugh a lot with Romero, Fluttershy and Quietcha seem to smile and talk more."
"Oh did you see how Emothan was smiling?"
"Oh yeah. I never thought he'd ever smile."
"He looks more happy then that time when his uncle Deat was happy to be showing his dark side on half of the country."
Applejack giggled at his words as he did too. Rainbow Dash wanted out of the car but she's not risk freezing all by herself.
The whole entire trip was barley anything of fun. Applejack and Buckley talked about having fun if being on their own, but Rainbow Dash could tell Applejack doesn't like the idea of being on her own without helping her family with all support.
Without thinking or looking out the window, they finally arrived at Rainbow's home.
"Here we are." Applejack said as she unbuckle her seat belt. She looked back to see if Rainbow was moving but unfortunately, she was asleep. She smiled at her friend. She always look so cute when she's asleep.
Buckley looked back and saw her too. "Awww she's sleeping." He said. "Want to take her inside?"
"Yeah."
They both got out and with some help, Applejack open the door an was able to help Rainbow Dash get on her feet so Buckley could lift her up and carry her. She was a little heavy.
"Thanks for taking her home and driving us." Applejack said looking at him with a smile.
"It's no prob. I just Skyscraper was more of a ladies man than a chupacabra hitting it's tail against the face of a wolf."
Again, another giggle came from Applejack.
While their talking became a little loud, Rainbow's pinkie eyes began to open, only to reveal a man holding up while he looked up. She barley recognized him and scream, making him scream and dropped her on the concert. Applejack stood there holding her hands to her face surprised of what happen.
Buckley quickly bend to his knees and helped Rainbow Dash to get on her knees. Applejack helped her up by grabbing her arm. She asked "Are you okay Sugar?"
"Yeah." She said as she got on her feet. The only that remain on her was her bottom. "Yeah I'm fine. My butt just hurts is all."
"I apologize by the way." Buckley said real worried. "I didn't mean to drop ya. You just scared me when you scream and I didn't know why else to do."
"It's okay."
"You honestly scared me when my aunt Rosa came to my birthday with her special outfit."
"... And why is that scary?"
"Because she farts a lot and it shows her boobs a lot."
Applejack and Rainbow looked at each other and said ewwww but mostly laughing. He was glad to hear a laugh from them two.
"Anyways, thanks for driving me home you guys."
"No prob. Anything for a friend."
"Your welcome sugar cube."
Thinking she'd remember, Rainbow waited for Applejack to mention they had a special treat to get to, but then her heart stopped when she saw her and Buckley run to the car getting in.
"See ya at Pinkie's slumber party!" Applejack yelled with a smile to her.
Rainbow only gave her a small wave and the car drove off, leaving her standing on the steps, in shock. She couldn't believe her best friend could have forgotten something that actually meant a lot to her.
She could only think this day could get worse.
She walked up the stairs and lifted the mat of her doorstep up so she can unlock the door. She turn the key and walk into the house closing the door quietly. She saw it was very quiet and locked the door. She hoped her parents were asleep. Seems to be it some there was no movement or noise.
She began to walk up the stairs quietly, but as she took her first step, someone cleared their throat making her heart top beating.
She sighed in relief. She knew who that was.
She got off the stairs and walked to the living facing a man who sat in the chair staring at her. He had rainbow spiky hair like her with light purple skin and dark blue eyes. They were actually gorgeous.
He stared at her with anger of seeing her.
She chuckled nervously. "Hey dad. What are you doing up so late?"
"I should be asking you the same thing." He said.
"Well uh... you see... I was kinda..."
"You weren't out being drunk were you?" He stood on his feet. He looked as if he was going to hit her.
"Dad, I told you before I don't do that. If I did, I'd be crazy."
"And dead..." She heard a mumbled come from his mouth saying that.
"Now young lady, you promise you'd be home around ten. Do you know what time it is?"
Rainbow Dash got the chance to look at her watch ad answered. "Ten thirty."
"Exactly. You should have been here thirty minutes ago."
"Well hey, I made it home didn't I? It's better than nothing."
"Listen don't for an attitude with me understand? When you make a promise in this house, you make a promise."
"Dad I know. I just..."
"You can't just stay up late and keep going out without being return on time."
"It's not my fault..." She began to raise his voice as he did too.
A voice of a woman stopped them as she said "Both of you, enough!"
They looked and saw a lady standing in the doorway of the living room. She had light sky blue hair and light blue skin like Rainbow Dash's. She had on a robe looking very tire with her dark pink eyes. Her eyes were just like Rainbow's.
"Both of you need to stop right now." She said.
"But he's..."
"Rainbow Danger Dash go to your room."
Obviously her parents weren't in the mood to hear any 'nonsense'. This was one reason Rainbow Dash hated staying home was cause of her folks. Mostly her dad. He's always overprotective of her and always wants her to take it easy with the sports and games he does.
She wanted to just yell at them, but she's already been through so much pain that night, she just couldn't take it from her parents. She ran up the stairs trying not to cry.
The man of the house sat down on the chair and sighed in relief. "Oh Rainbow Blaze. I understand you were worried but you don't need to go over board with it."
"I'm sorry Sky Blue." He said. "I just don't want anything to happen to her."
The worst that has happen to her, was the yelling. She test it by slamming the door and trying to hold back the tears. If there was anything she learned as being a teenage, is to not to cry like the sensitive ones.
She ran to her bed and just face her blankets trying to also hold her sobs.
What punishment was this for her? What cause her to have a bad night with a breaking heart?
She wanted to play in the yard so she could clear her head, but it as too dark and she had a feeling it will rain. It reminded her of her mother when she died.
Her mother, Rainbow Shine, died from a disease that got to her from a European guy. She died before she turned one so it really pain her to see her life without a mother. No matter what, no one could replace her with Sky Blue. She was Rainbow Dash's stepmother. She met her father at a race and just fell in love like that. Rainbow Dash wish she could feel that anytime Applejack was around.
She remember lots of fun things with Applejack. Her personality, being honest, looking up to others, her music and smile. She remembers her favorite artist Taylor Swift and her favorite one from her. It was call 'Stay, stay, stay'. She like to hear that song everyday hearing from her voice.
She looked at her blue guitar as it laid there piled on some clothes she didn't bother to clean up. She did wonder one thing...
She grabbed for her guitar and her recorder. She uses it in case if she and her band would want to play it.
She turned it on with the guitar in place of her hands. "'Stay, stay, stay' by Taylor Swift. For Applejack." Luck lit this song won't be heard from anyone.
She started off with a soft gentle guitar solo. It almost sound as good as a base.
Then her amazing voice sung her heart out with memories:

"I'm pretty sure we almost broke up last night,
I threw my phone across the room at you,
I was expecting some dramatic turn away but you stayed,

She remembered once before the 'evil Sunset Shimmer' happen, she and Applejack were having an argument and Rainbow Dash threw her soccer ball at her. It mostly hit the wall. Applejack kinda laugh that she missed, almost forgetting what they were arguing about. Soon, Rainbow Dash began to laugh with her.

This morning I said we should talk about it,

That's when you came in wearing a football helmet and said 'let's talk about it',

She remembered the slumber party that Pinkie once had. It was when Twilight was helping them stop the sirens. Rainbow Dash and Applejack were playing a game, and it seem for the for the first time, Applejack was winning. Rainbow didn't really like that. Not only cause she hates losing, but because she would let it be discovered that she was letting her win. She didn't know what she was thinking, and there was no turning back now. So she immediately turn off the game making Applejack's player signed off.
"Hey." She said. "I was about to beat you."
Then Dash spun the controller on her finger and said "I doubt it."
After asking Twilight how the counter spell was coming, Rainbow had the opportunity to steal Applejack's controller away without her looking. She was listening to Twilight for a moment.
When she reached for her controller, she realized it wasn't there, and that Rainbow Dash and it in her hand. "Hey!" She tried reaching for it from the rainbow, but with her laughter, it was so funny seeing her friend mad.

That first part of the second verse, she thought how she had a miserable night with Skyscraper but then Applejack and Buckley came to her rescue. She also remember how she always offer to help Applejack and her folks with their groceries. Applebloom one time had a egg fall on her head because of her. That was a fun memory.

She started off with a small guitar sounding base solo. She remembered all the fun she had with her band when they fought the sirens. That was an adventure she'll never forget.

Applejack was a reason she followed her dream of being athlete. Besides her dad, when he wasn't a pain.
When kids, especially boys, say she's not right for it, Applejack was always the one person who could heal her scars.

The memories flew through her mind making it a magical place for her to remember Applejack for entirety.

The song ended there, leaving it with quietness. Rainbow Dash smiled after finishing that. There was nothing else that could heal like a song to her, and sports.
"That's a rap." She said turning off the recoding.
She put down her guitar and ten off the lights heading her some shut eye. She smiled, happy to get some thing off her mind. She knows how she can have a better night.
On Saturday night, Pinkie Pie's slumber party.
