EVA POV

I left Hunter Corporation around noon. My thoughts revolving around Jess. She was prettier and sexier than before. I saw the looks the female employees were giving her, when she left her father's office. I remembered her as shy, nerd girl. Too skinny, and too tall for my liking. I didn't bother to reveal why I hated her so much those days in the past. Maybe it was the way she looked at me, with admiration? Or maybe that I treated her like best friend and then suddenly she confessed her dirty feelings towards me?

I checked my phone and noticed messages from Ben. He didn't like the perspective of me being married but I convinced him that it will not change anything between us. Jess can be beautiful, but she's still a woman, and I don't swing this way.

I called Ben.

"Hi honey, are you free? We can go and grab some lunch?" I asked.

"Yeah, meet me at our favorite restaurant. Will be there in a few." He said quickly and ended call.

I took a taxi and a few minutes later went inside extravagant and expensive dinner. I spotted Ben at our favourite table, in the corner, near window.

"Hi baby." He said, stood up and kiss me in the corner of my mouth. He was tall, well-build, incredibly handsome with his sharp jaw, dark eyes and short, styled hair. Dressed in his formal attire, black suit, white shirt with tie. I was hot and bothered, and he smiled at me, feeling my arousal. Yes... he was very good in bed too.

"Hi." I said smiling at him, and sitting on the opposite chair. We ordered food and started talking about our days.

"...this case is big. All over the media. They choose me, because, you know, my experience with this type of cases." Ben was bragging around about process of mafia dealer, who was judged for murder. Ben was his advocate.

"Oh, common, you know he's guilty. All evidences pointed at him." I replied, knowing very well that this type of man should rot in jail for what he done.

"Eva, you know that I have to defend him, and I win. Besides, evidences, witnesses... are like flag in the wind. They could change directions for our favor." Ben smiled darkly. I didn't want to talk about this, because in this case I was totally against Ben's attitude.

"I was in the Hunter Corporation to talk about the deal." I changed topic.

Ben's face dropped a little.

"How is it go?"

"All agreed. The wedding in two weeks." I groaned. He took my hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

"It will be ok. You will get the money, save your company and then you can lose all ties with them. I will help you. One year and you'll be free and ready to be my wife." He smiled and I was hypnotize by his words.

"Oh! Why your name isn't Hunter!"

Ben smiled.

"Come on, she can not be that bad."

"Jess? She's different now, but I still dislike her to the bone." I admitted. "The worst is that my mother like her. She literally was glowing looking at her, and said to me that she's really a catch." I shook her head. Ben wasn't pleased.

"Your mother didn't like anyone for you. Even me." He said bitterly.

"You'll have time to prove yourself to her, don't worry." I assured him.

"Yeah, but Jess will be first to do that."

We ate in silence after that conversation and I asked Ben to spend some more time together.
