Four More Days!

So, a question that was asked about what were the changes made to the new world you'll be entering. I can't give too much away, BUT I can give you some answers concerning the basics.

While this new world is a futuristic universe, it has some major changes to it's rules. This is mainly because I wanted the story to sound less like it came out of the Star Wars universe, while carrying a sense of fantasy and the feeling of being in another world.

So here are some of the changes:

1.) NO SPACE

There won't be any space travel. While that was a big part in Yellow Eyes But Not A  Sith, I'm restricting the story's world to a single planet.

2.) MORE STORY!

Everything in the first book is going to be extended into a longer story; there will be more within the story, so as to understand the world, as well as the characters better.

3.) NO GUNS

This change was made because blasters and sniper rifles and pistol are a big staple within the Star Wars universe. Like, you can't imagine any non-force sensitive characters without it. So, instead of characters carrying firearms, I chose to go slightly old school; law enforcement will be carrying crossbows, and most civilians will be armed with knives, staffs, metal poles- anything not gun or laser related. There won't even be a version of lightsabers (though that's a given- Star Wars already own the giant fighting glowsticks XD).

That does beg the question though: Will I keeping something relatively similar to the force still be involved?

Yes, and no.

4.) NEW POWERS

The idea of a group of people having these mystical abilities that connect with one's mindset is a big part to this story. We can't just not give our Kanan character nothing to teach our Ezra character now, can we? Other than morals, of course. So, what will replace the force is what is going to be called a gift. It's power in the form of a singular color that can take the form of anything the user wishes (a weapon, a shield, a twinkling light, etc.) Your protagonists have their own unique colors. Your antagonists do as well, however, theirs is mixed with black, signifying they darkness that they have allowed inside them.

That's all I can give you guys for now! With just four more days left, the hype is becoming more real... for me at least lol. It's gonna be fun though! It's just really exciting!

Take care everyone, and God bless you!
