Chapter 3: Nighttime

Ash yawned as they laid their head on their bed. They had changed serval times in one day due to not taking their meds. It helped them moderate the hormones they took to feel comfortable in their skin. That night heard their uncle fighting with their aunt.

" It doesn't matter their gender, Giovanni! They're human just like us! they deserve to be treated fairly!" domino yelled

" He, it's a he. he has a penis therefore HE is a boy! the moment he realizes that the better, seriously multiple genders next thing you'll be telling me is those homos down the street are humans to! God gave human genders for a reason domino!" Giovanni yelled

" They are human it doesn't matter what preference in gender for a partner or yourself you have! they are human and deserve to be treated as such!" domino screamed

Their uncle yelled again before smashing a chair on the ground, breaking it. Then they heard a domino cry as their uncle went out for some drinks with his drinking buddy Lysander. Carefully ash walked down to talk to their aunt.

" um, dom's you okay?" ash asked their aunt

Domino had a bruise on his face, her makeup was smeared due to her tears and she was bleeding a bit on her hand.

" ash shouldn't you be asleep?" domino asked

" I couldn't and well..." ash began

domino sighed before nodding

" your uncle is just... well he's just in a bad mood right now. He'll be back tomorrow or Wednesday. But that's beside the point, I'll get you a nice warm beer and some brownies and we can read a book until you fall asleep okay?" domino said

" okay," ash said

Domino helped them up the stairs while she held a plate full of brownies and a beer can. she tucked them into bed, gave them warm beer, and a brownie before reading them a book. Once they were asleep she sighed as she laid their miniature them next to them.

"goodnight ash, and ash. Sleep well" domino said as she kissed their foreheads before turning off the light and going to bed herself.
