It's been 6 months since Adetola and her children left the house. And that six month hasn't been bearable for them.

From moving from one place to another picking food from nearby garbage bin or sometimes begging from people to taking cloth they wear from the lost and found.

Because Maria didn't let them leave with anything. Not even the money Adetola worked for herself, not even food for the children. Each day getting worse than the other.

Adetola was greatful for the fact that the kids understand their predicament.

She was still deep in thought when she was broken.

ADETOLA'S POV

Mum we are hungry, we haven't eating since morning mom.
My second child said.
My love, I tried I really tried but I couldn't find anything.
But mum am really hungry what will I eat.

When I couldn't take it anymore,I busted out in tears this is our life now, under the bridge without my poor husband here.

It's been 10 months and I'll say we've been doing well so far. At least we have food on our table and roof on our heads.

A nice old woman found us after 6 month of my rape incident near her waste bin looking for food and she  invited us in. Not only did she give us food but gave us room in her house.

When she heard our story, she busted out in tears and promise to take care of us not that she is crazily rich but I can give it to her that she is more than average.

Not only did she give us food and shelter but also a job.

The kids get to work in her cafe as a waiter and I also go out to do other work that pays more.

The twins goes to a public school but I couldn't get to pay for Jason's college fee. But i try to make him get online class sometimes if I have money with me.

Grandma (the woman who helped her) wanted to pay for Jason's college fee but I bluntly refuse, I didn't want to add more burden to her.

Even  if she thinks her children like me,  I know they don't because I am like an extra baggage to them since they are the ones giving her money and also pays for the maid in her house. While her cafe shop is just an extra money which she gives to charity but ever since I entered her life, I became the charity.
