What do you think happens when you die? It's a question scientists and the intelligent minds of our world will never seem to discover. Some believe in an afterlife. And others believe in total nothingness for eternity.

I couldn't care less. Thinking about something you will never know for certain, is useless. The concept of an afterlife is useless as well. For those who decide to suffer and struggle in their real lives and persuaded themselves into believing this will prepare them for the afterlife, I think you're delusional because if the afterlife was as special as people make it out to be, then what's the point of a life on earth?

But I digress. All I cared about was living the life I was given to the fullest. And my choices have reflected that very belief. I'm an individual who does not want to rule the world. I don't need to be rich. It would be nice but it mattered little to me. A peaceful life, where I could live a generic, average life; that's what I strive for.

And for a time, I was fulfilling this desire of mine in my own way.

But after a year of living this dream, having a girlfriend, making a small group of friends, and somewhat enjoying my time, it all came crashing down by a force that was not in m control.

All I could do was survive, because it was an instinct that had been engraved in me since birth.

Now, starting my third year in highschool, I've transferred to another school due to those tragic events. But despite leaving, I continue to find myself in the same situations I wanted to leave for good.

3rd Person POV

A student with brown hair and eyes, and 6 feet in height, left his apartment and walked across the sidewalk, on his way to his new school, Kuro Academy. His face expressed nothing. His eyes expressed nothing. He simply had no emotion.

Despite the incident ending 2 months prior, he still vividly remembered parts of it, as it replayed in his mind, occurring the same way every time.

'Get away from her'

'Why did you pick her?'

'You... finally... admit it...'

'I love you'

However, unlike the average person, he still functioned normally due to his absurdly powerful mental fortitude

However, unlike the average person, he still functioned normally due to his absurdly powerful mental fortitude. Although he dwelled on these events more than he would have liked, he already understood there was no reason to have it affect him now, as he knew moving past it would have been what she wanted.

Looking ahead, he walked across the street, his eyes looking forward. However, not paying attention, a finger punctured his cheek as he turned his face slightly to see a familiar face.
