Doctor: You're very lucky, young man. The projectile that was imbedded in your shoulder didn't cut any major arteries or did any lasting damage. You'll be left with a slight scar after a couple days of rest.
Inside an emergency room, Ayanokouji had been treated from his injuries.
Doctor: As for your head injury, it wasn't anything serious.
Ayanokouji: Thank you sir.
The Doctor smiled.
Doctor: You're very welcome. After I get your paperwork, you'll be discharged. You'll also be happy to know that the classmate you were with was left with small scratches. She's currently waiting outside.
Ayanokouji sighed.
Ayanokouji: (She should have gone home if she was fine. Interactions that occur after a punishment are usually the times where that bastard likes to give another order. 2 of the 32 classmates in our homeroom have already died. I wouldn't be surprised that, if a good amount of classmates accumulate in this hospital, the next order will arrive. Of course, they might be smaller and less destructive, considering killing his entire roster of contestants with one order would be ludicrous. Who knows? He might even sneak in some, more erotic orders. He is a pervert after all.)
With the Doctor leaving the room, Riona awkwardly walked inside, as she closed the door.
Riona: H-Hey.
Ayanokouji: I thought I told you to go home.
Riona: After what you told me, how do you expect me to just go home? What were you talking about before? I checked my phone like you said, and I got this weird number. It said something about the King's Game. Isn't that just a party or club gam-
Ayanokouji covered her mouth as she was startled. He reached for the door, locking it.
Riona: *LOUD MUMBLE*
Ayanokouji: Shhh........ You almost broke one of his rules.
Letting go, she continued to speak.
Riona: Who's rules? And how do you even know these rules? You mentioned you saw this in the beginning. What happened in the beginning?
Ayanokouji: Well, it should be obvious. I underwent the same game a couple of months ago.
Riona: What?
Ayanokouji: And I was the only survivor. That's how the game works, only one lives.
Hearing this, Riona nervously asked her next question.
Riona: So, in your death game, how many people participated?
Ayanokouji: The entire school. On that day, around 500 of us received a message from the same being.
Riona: Wait, but I don't get it. Why were there 500 people participating in the previous game but only 32 now?
