'HEY, STUDENTS OF ANHS! CONGRATS!! YOU ALL HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO COMPETE IN MY LARGEST GAME YET! OVER 500 PARTICIPANTS AND ONE OF MY LARGEST STAGES YET! WELCOME TO THE KING'S GAME'

The text introduced us to an entity known as 'King.' And he started off by trapping the 400+ students of our school into his little game. It would only be known later, but the teachers and staff, had nothing to do with the game. They seemed almost oblivious to the deaths and dangers of the game because they were controlled in a different way.

It didn't take long to understand why, considering, as per the rules of the King's Game, only he could give orders and challenges to us, so Teachers and other figureheads became obsolete to him. Of course, I'll explain later on why this was the case.

...

...

...

Kei: What bs. Consider yourself blocked, weirdo.

Before she could, I stopped her.

Me: I don't think we should block the contact.

Kei was confused.

Kei: Why not? It's obviously just some scam or something.

Me: Even so, just trust me. I think we should wait for this to play out. There's no reason to do anything hasty at this point.

Holding her hand, she turned slightly red, and sighed.

Kei: Fine, I'll keep this creep on my phone because I trust you. Be thankful!

She was adorable.

Patting her head, I looked at my phone once again.

Me: Whoever sent this must be a student. There's no plausible explanation a teacher would send this announcement, nor would any higher ranked staff such as Mr. Sakayanagi.

Kei: So what should we do?

Me: Ignore it for now. But be careful. This could just be a prank, but I need time to assess the situation.

Kei smiled.

Kei: Ok.

Me: On another note, I'll also need to speak with Horikita. Although this might be a prank, I need to make sure everyone received the same text.

Looking over to Kei, I sighed.

Me: I guess we should call it a day.

She looked slightly disappointed but I was positive she understood.

Me: Besides, you wouldn't want anyone seeing you near my room, right?

Instead of her usual response of affirmation, she hesitated.
