I sighed as I made my way to my cabin, and Dipper went back to his. I opened my mouth, yawning. It was a weird human reaction to not getting enough air or to being tired. I was breathing just fine so it must've been the second one. Since I had completely forgotten about this body until now, I had never really experienced sleeping for myself. I flopped down onto my soft mattress, thinking about what I would do tomorrow. I jolted upwards suddenly, remembering my plan to go inside Harrison's mind. I felt my body turn to stone as I again became a 2D triangle. I floated over to where Harrison was sleeping as the world turned grey around me. I entered his mind, seeing a large two story house loom over me. I went in through the door and saw a large hallway of doors, each one leading into a different memory. I went through one where I saw Eli in it. Uh oh. Big mistake. I saw past-Harrison put "Charlie" underneath a large red silk blanket. "And when I lift this sheet up...he will have disappeared!" He dragged the sheet off slowly as the two adults saw their child was not in fact there anymore. They clapped excitedly. "Now to bring him back!" He clapped twice and nothing happened. He clapped again, still nothing. His parents were starting to look worried as past-Eli searched around the stool where Charlie had been sitting. "I-it's okay! This is fine it's...it's just taking a while!" The two adults had run over to the stool and were crying and yelling at Harrison. He pressed himself against a corner, trying to clap and bring his brother back. Eli had sat down, crosslegged and still. They had tears dripping down their cheeks as their brother was crying and shielding himself from his parents. I had seen enough. I walked out of the memory door, saddened by what I had seen. I looked around for another memory containing the blue headed person. I found another door. It was labeled: "KEEP OUT!" so naturally I went it. I saw Preston in a dress with love hearts floating around. Okay then, so Harrison was gay as well. No judgement here. I left the door, closing it and never looking back to it. I kept wandering, until I found a seperate hallway. It was labeled "Eli". Perfect. Honestly I wondered why I had never thought of just going into Eli's mind and finding out there but what kind of friend would I be if I invaded their privacy? Also it was never a good idea to look at other people's memories of you. I walked down the hallway and saw Eli and Harrison's parents reading a book labeled "demons and how to find them". I don't think Eli or Harrison were demons. I looked around the room and saw crosses hanging off the walls. Oh they were religious. That explains the demon obsession. I shook my head, leaving the memory. Honestly there was no actual way to find out what Eli was, why did I even care? Did it really matter? I decided no and left the young boys mind. I was back in my uncomfortable squishy skin suit. I put my head on the pillow and everything went dark.
I woke up the next morning to a poke on my face. I involuntarily kicked out my leg and hit my head on the wall, yelling in pain. It turns out pain is hilarious when you only experience it part time. I saw Eli on the other side of the room, with a bruise on their face. Oh no. I rubbed my head, wincing as I prepared for a flood of tears. Instead, I heard giggling. "Ha, nice. Sorry about poking you, I just wanted to show you something." They said. I opened my eyes and saw that they were holding what looked to be teeth. And string...
"It's a necklace! For you! I made it out of deer teeth!" I smiled and tilted my head slightly. "For me? Thanks! How did you know that deer teeth was my favourite kind?"
They looked thoughtful for a moment and then surprised. "I didn't. I guessed. You can tell a lot about a person from the type of teeth they like. It's my favourite too, so I can tell that you're my friend." They handed me the necklace and then walked out the door. I rubbed the back of my head again, wondering how humans put up with this. For a second time the door to my cabin slammed open and I hit my head on the wall. "ARE YOU- Hello David." I groaned in pain, and sat on the edge of my bed. Maybe that'll stop this from happening a third time. "Sorry to interrupt but Gwen is feeling...um...sick and I kind of need your help to set up an activity." I looked up at him and got off my bed. "What kind of activity?" I asked. "Oh we're going to be drawing our favourite thing in the world. But I can't seem to find the crayons..." he replied, trailing off. I gave him a thumbs up and walked over to grab my cane.. "Leave it to me David!" I said. "Oh, please call me Davey!" He spat out. I got my cane from the corner of the cabin and placed my top hat on my head before I left. Now all I need to do is get Dipper to think he's my friend so he'll trust me enough to let me into the mystery shack. Then I can get the rift, and try opening the portal again. It was genius! I smiled and waved to David as I walked over to the mess hall and opened the doors. The campers were eating some sort of slop, except for Eli who was eating a single kiwifruit. Just biting into it like an apple. Even I was creeped out.
