I stopped suddenly, gripping onto Eli so that they don't fall off. I plopped them onto the ground and they tripped with a thud. I helped them back up, and urged the rest of the kids to go play with Eli, see what they were so excited about. I put my cane in front of Dipper before he could go though. "What do you want, Bill." He groaned, trying to seem annoyed and angry at me. I could tell he was terrified though. "I want to make a deal." I said, calmly. He looked dumbfounded, and laughed shaking his head. "A deal? Seriously? In front of everyone, and with me none the less! Ha! You think I'd actually TRUST you after what happened last time? Fat chance demon!". Ouch, that last word kind of hurt. I felt my grip on my cane tighten. I loosened my fingers, the red disappearing from my coat and hair. "Please, just hear what I have to say." I was getting a little desperate. He shook his head and crossed his arms. "Fine, you isosceles monster. What do you want?" I sighed a breath of relief. "I just need you not to tell Eli about what I've done. Okay?" He looked up at me, thoughtful but scheming. "And what do I get in return?" I thought for a moment and then a lightbulb went off. "How about...this..?" I snapped my fingers and a book appeared in a puff of blue fire. It settled into my hand and it swung it in front of Pine Tree's face. It was a book with a golden six fingered hand on the front, with a 4 written on it. "I swear on all that is unholy, this is real. And you can have it. So is it a deal?" I bent down and took out my hand to shake as it was endorsed in blue flames. "F-fine...I won't tell Eli. But if you take my body then the deal's off.". I nodded, laughing. "I already have a body, in case you haven't noticed! Happy to comply though." I didn't even need the journal, I had an exact copy. He shook my hand and the deal was set. I stood up straight and clapped my hands together then set off, pushing Dipper along with my cane. "Right! Off we go!" We made it to them in no time, although I did have to carry the kid. "I see you're still wearing the stupid hat you got from your uncle?" I teased. "I see you're still a yellow, one eyed freak." I felt my hands tensing. "I don't have to yellow. I could be R̷̲̟̝̼͕̻̺̤̜̦͙̣̽̀͗̀͗͌̈̆̃͘̕̚̚͝͝ͅe̶̛̼͍̊̄͛̎̀͗d̸͍̘̥̱͇͚́̇ if you wanted." I growled slightly while saying that. I seem to have acquired an issue with my anger levels. "You can walk kiddo. I don't wanna touch your pathetic human skin any longer." Pine Tree rolled his eyes at me, though I could sense he was still just as scared. This was going well, I guess. I had had a long day and would look forward to being a triangle again. My skin was too squishy. I watched as the small, blue haired child climbed...CLIMBED UP A TREE!? I ran over to Eli, stretching my arms to try and grab the kid. They giggled as if it was a game. "Come down from there. NOW!" I yelled that last part. They realised it wasn't a joke and that I was very serious about this. They floated down from the tree, into my arms. I had no idea what had just happened. First I stop this troubling creature from eating a bug, and now I save it from falling? What was going on? "Sorry about the yelling, kiddo. But that was not a good thing to do." I said. I carried them in my arms as they seemed to fall asleep, tired out from the antics. As they fell asleep though, they were set on fire. It wasn't seemingly caused by anything, just spontaneous combustion. I ran over to where no one could see us and yelled at the kids to stay there. Pine Tree watched me. I mean come on is this kid obsessed or something? Global warming? Bill Cipher. Homelessness? Bill Cipher. Food crisis? Bill Cipher. Gosh kid, I'm not that bad. At the moment. I sighed as my fingers burned from this creatures flames. I made it float just an inch above bow tie level so that I could find something to set the fire out. "This happens a lot." Dipper said, appearing out of nowhere. I looked down at him, confused. "What does, Pine Tree?" He sighed. "The fire. And don't call me Pine Tree! My name is Dipper." I scoffed and waved a hand. "I knew that. You do know who you're talking to right? I don't think you can make those kinds of demands kid." I chuckled, giving him a side glance. Pine Tree raised an eyebrow at me, giving off a slight smile. "If you don't stop calling me Pine Tree, I'll tell Eli everything." That got my attention. I stopped laughing and gave him a death stare. I bent down to his level and looked him right in the eye. "You wouldn't." I said.
"I would." He shot right back.
"I could end your measly life, right here and now." I said, becoming agitated. It was the third time today that I was close to turning red.
"And I could end your measly friendship right here and now." I side glanced over to Eli, who was not on fire anymore but on the ground, sleeping peacefully. I grabbed Dipper by the shirt and held him close to me while I stood up straight. "You know that I'm still the same demon as last time. It's only been a year. I don't care about you, I will never care about you. You're only a tool that I can use." I was completely red at this point, my top hat standing on end and me being 8 feet tall. I forgot about that side effect. I dropped the kid to the ground as he was now shaking and stuttering. I adjusted my hat and my bow tie then went back to being 7 feet and yellow. "Go on, run back to camp. I've had enough of your face Dipper." I said that last part with a hint of disgust. I picked up Eli and used my cane to motion to the rest of the group that we were going back to camp. Pine Tree was nowhere to be seen, as I had assumed he had followed my instructions.
Well, that wasn't a great situation to be in.
