Chapter 13 ~ Code red, or blue?

'Code red! I repeat code red!' Nick Fury sounded over the speaker. 'Everyone assemble at the ground floor, we're in great danger.' He continued.

I look around in the chaos if I see Tony anywhere. Suddenly I feel a strong hand on my shoulder turning me around, Thor. 'Lady Y/N, come on, hurry!' He says as he pulls me by my arm and basically pushes me in the elevator.

'Y/N, are you okay? You look like a ghost.' Thor asked. 'Yeah, I'm okay.' I lied as I put on a fake smile.

No I am not okay, I'm so nervous, I can hardly stand on my feet anymore.

'Good because now things are getting real.' Thor said as the elevator stopped moving and the doors opened to a gigantic underground area, with one glowing blue cube in the middle.

The Tesseract.

It started glowing like crazy and everyone took a few steps back.

I ran towards the team when some cloud started to form around the cube, no it was a portal. Inside the blue mist was a portal. Damn I don't think this day can get any weirder.

It did, of course.

'What is happening?' You heard a man saying. 'We don't have any control over the Tesseract anymore, Dr. Selvig.' Maria responded. 'It looks like somebody made a portal with the Tesseract.'

'What the f-' Tony said when the Tesseract shot some kind of energy to the portal causing the cloud to get bigger and bigger. Again everyone took a few steps back, scared for what was coming.

After the energy blast stoppped, everyone stared at the portal in silence, holding their breath, not knowing what to expect.

'Is that a person?' I whispered, not to anyone in particular. 'I wouldn't know what else it could be.' Bruce answered anyways. 'How the actual fuck.' I whispered in disbelive. 'Language.' Steve mumbled. 'I swear to God, Steve if you-' Tony gets cut off by Natasha shushing him. 'Shhh Tony just be quiet for once!' She whisper-yelled.

On the plateau was indeed a man. He sat on one knee and looked down. He had a spear with another blue glowing thing in his hand. Slowly the man raised his head, having a manic expression on his face. Chills ran down my spine. The man looked like a living zombie.

'Loki?' I hear Thor whisper next to me.

'Sir, please put down the spear.' Fury ordered the man.

The man looked at the sprear as if he was surpirsed he was holding it. It was also clear now the clothing he was wearing was not from this world. When the man was done being surprised, he shot with the scepter an energy blast directly towards us. 'Get down!' Natasha yelled. 'Evactuate everyone!' Maria said. 'No! I need a few people to stay here Nick shot back. Clint and Y/N, you stay here, I can use a little help.' He winked. 'Alright the rest of the team, I need you to evactuate then and, keep an eye on the roads around the shield base.' Maria ordered, as you saw the rest of the team dissapear in the elevator. 'Watch out, Dracula.' Tony says clearly worried, before the doors close.

'So now your little team left huh.' The man states. 'Well, that's a good thing, you clearly don't need glasses.' Fury said back. If it wasn't for the nerves, I would've definetly lost it.

He clearly didn't like the joke, because as soon as he heard it, another shot was directed straight at Fury. Followed by more shots and stabbing. I felt like passing out until my hands started tingling, followed by glowing, it was... gold.

I tried shooting it at the enemy, missed, of course.

Then he noticed me. Fuck.

He stalked over to me, I backed away, but there was a wall, which I obviously couldn't go through. He put his hands next to my shoulders against the wall, so I was basically trapped.

'And who are you?' He said with a devilish smirk, pointing the spear at my heart. 'That's none of your buisness.' Clint said followed by an arrow in the man's arm, which gave me the opportunity to escape and hide.

'Oh you should not have done that, Archer.' The man said. Walking to Clint with inhuman speed, he looks him in the eyes: 'Although, you have heart.' He says as he taps with the spear on his chest, which caused his eyes to turn black and after that a blue glow. With that, Clint put his gun back in his holster.

'Psst, Psst Y/N, pass me that case.' Fury whispered.

I looked to my left and I saw indeed a black case which I passed to Mr. Fury. He grabbed the Tesseract from the stand and clicked it into the case. He gestured to me to follow him.

'Please don't.' The man spoke. 'I still need that.' He continued.

'This doesn't have to get any messier.' Fury warned.

'Of course it does. I've come too far for anything else.' He answered him

'Who even are you?' I asked, scared for my life.

'Oh, you cán talk after all.' He joked.

'I am Loki, of Asgard.' He smirked.
