Annabeth was waiting for Percy to open his door.
"Percy!" she called, getting worried. She had to tell him about some of Kronos's more capable minions being loose, but his mom wasn't home, and he wasn't answering his door.
"Forget it," she muttered. She walked down to a window and opened it, then climbed out. She had to climb around the mostly-bare wall to get to his room, and that's just what she did. She held onto the slick edges of the bricks, carefully sneaking towards his room. She looked into his window and her eyes widened. Percy was trying to attack Kronos's minions with his hands tied behind his back. They had his pen and had pushed everything else out of his room so he couldn't fight. They had most likely done it while he was sleeping, Annabeth realized. He wouldn't have let them just tie him up and take Riptide. With a yell, she punched through the window and launched herself through. Ignoring the pain, she rolled to her feet gracefully and stood between them and Percy. She didn't have time to undo his ropes, since she could see they had tied them tight enough that his skin was red. He was unraveling them, but she didn't know when they would strike and kill him. It was most likely going to be before he unraveled it entirely.
"Don't you DARE attack my boyfriend!" Annabeth shouted, then judo flipped them and stabbed them with her dagger. She stepped back just in time for Percy to launch himself at her with arms outstretched and kiss her, knocking her to the floor. She fell backwards with a laugh and kissed him back.
