"AND JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!?" The fancy looking girl said to the child in a maid outfit
"I-I'm sorry my princess it was an accident. I didn't mean to..." the young maid cowered before the princess.
This was princess Edelweiss Lestrand. The only princess in the kingdom of Lestrand and the fiancé to the crown prince of the Arios empire.
Basically the prissy bitch was not only a spoiled princess but was to become a future empress as well.
This isn't to say she was always bad but she let the attention go to her head and became arrogant bossing others around and treating her servants poorly. Giving them unreasonable orders then insulting them when they couldn't follow through.
Princess Edelweiss made a motion to go and slap the young maid before she suddenly paused mere inches from the girls face.
"Get our of my sight. I can't stand that pathetic look on your face." She said angrily which caused the young maid to nod and quickly run off.
There was one thing about the princess that held her back from going full villainess. She never physically hurt others. That wasn't to say she was a good person being an expert in psychological manipulation but in her own mind it was important to discipline those beneath you so that they knew their place.
But actively hurting someone would make her no better than a torturer or an abuser.
It was her sense of right and wrong however warped it may be.
Time passed and then the princess was summoned to the Arios empire so she left in her carriage.
However her not paying attention caused her to not realize this was a trap. The carriage driver hired bandits to push her off the road.
And so using a Rhinox her carriage was sent tumbling over the side of the road.
She lay there bleeding out an unconscious.

But as fate would have it her story wasn't quite over as she found herself awoken in some holding cell. Barely any light entered the cell but it reeked of monsters.
"W-where am I? WHERE THE HELL AM I?!?" But no answer came. Simply a piece of food being thrown through the small gap where light shined through for the better part of a month.
The once beautiful princess was reduced to a figure of a starving young woman who didn't even fit in her dress anymore.
She tried to escape a few times but by this point she resigned herself to her fate. She couldn't bust out because she lacked the strength, she couldn't climb out she lacked the physical fitness, she attempted to use her nature magic which showed promise but due to her neglecting her training from a young age the most she could do was sprout a root. It provided her a bit of food if you could even call it that but it took far more energy.
At some point adventurers came and slew whatever was holding her here. She tried to call out but her voice was no more. Then the adventurers left ironically sealing her fate as any supply of food she had would be cut off now.
All she could do was wait to die.
Out of a bit of boredom she used the dim lighting to try and read the book left in her room. "The basics of farming" the old her would have considered this beneath her or found it insulting but now she just wanted something else to focus on instead of the horrible actions she did in the past or the pain of her organs failing.
"If there's a next life... I hope I'm a good person."
Her vision was going black. On one hand it was a relief that her that the pain was over but on the other hand.
"I'm scared..." those were the last words Princess Edelweiss would matter before meeting her pathetic end.
