Nadiyah Roseine
Tiny crystals of rain scattered across the car windows, each one racing the other down the glass only to be met with despair.
Large high skyscraper buildings became more scarce as they left the dazzling city of New York, on to the more quiet outskirts as the city bustle became a quiet whisper in the wind.
I watched curiously as the neat rows of buildings turned into acres of land and trees, only light source being the headlights of our car in the starry night.
As the place grew more reserved and quiet an eerie feeling set itself back onto my gut.
Was it a mistake to get inside the car?
I felt as if I had signed myself up on the list of murder victims, as I contemplated jumping out of the car and making a run for it.
"A penny for your thoughts?" Mr Knight asked his forest green eyes not leaving the road ahead.
It was the first time since he learnt my name that he spoke, most of the ride had been filled with the sound of the car's heater and the soft grumble of the radio.
My marsh colored orbs looked towards him questionably, I couldn't figure him out.
And that unnerved me.
"I can practically hear the cogs in your brain turning, so talk to me, I'm all ears" He began again, this time glancing at me through the corner of his eye.
I turned my body back forward, left arm still securely draped over my baby bump as a pondered at his words.
Could he really see me over thinking?
"When was the last time you went for a check up?" I heard Mr Knight ask me.
"C-check up Sir-r?" Confusion laced in my words as I racked my brain where the question had come from.
"Yes a check up for the baby, when was the last time you went to one?" He asked again as he took a turn towards what seemed to be a dirt road.
"W-where are you t-taking me Sir?" I question as I observe my surroundings more skeptically now.
This dirt road didn't seem like a safe one it seemed more like an abandoned trail, my fear getting the best of me I began to feel even more unsafe as every possible scenario of how he would kill and dump my body ran through my mind.
I shouldn't have gotten into the car
"No need to jump out of the vehicle Miss Roseine if you look right up ahead you will see that I am indeed taking to to my home" Mr Knight says to me jokingly.
My eyes snap forward and low and behold he's right, a beautiful Mansion sit up ahead.
Intreast peeked I sit straighter as we approach the huge black double gates, a golden K decorating the middle of it.
Coming to a halt in front of them I notice as five begrudged looking guards open the gate.
All wearing the same black uniform, heavy guns slung behind their shoulders standing at attention as we pass.
Who is this guy?
My thoughts are soon interrupted as we round the corner of the cobblestone driveway.
I felt like I had unknowingly stepped into a scene from the note book.
It was Beautiful.
Words could not explain how absolutely breathtaking it all was.
