The ride to the doctors was beyond awkward.

We had sat together in the sleek posh car, my body fully turned towards the passengers side as he focused solely on the road in an uncomfortable silence for the first ten minutes.

It's not like I didn't want to speak to him, but I did not know if my conversation would be taken well considering this morning's talk.

However not talking to him makes it seem like I'm angry with him which is not something I'm trying to put out.

Thankfully the silence was suddenly broken by the loud shrill of his cellphone. I watched him glance at the screen in-confusion before letting out a deep sigh as he answered.

Setting the phone in the cup holder he put the unknown caller on loudspeaker.

" What is it Henry? I'm driving"

" Good morning Sir! Sorry to disturb you on your day off but the Morreti's we're asking if it was possible to set up a meeting today?" A soft male voice asked.

" No. I told you I'm busy, schedule it for another day." Mr Knight angrily spoke out.

"But Sir He said it's extremely urgent and can not-"

" I have said no and that's final Henry." Mr Knight interrupted cutting the phone right after.

The tension in the car seemed suffocating. I twiddled my thumbs watching as the handsome man beside me clenched and unclenched his fingers around the steering wheel.

His knuckles a sheer  white from the amount of force he was gripping it with.

A large part of me strangely felt... concerned for the man. Maybe it was because he had already done so much for me by inviting me into his home and letting me get a check up on my baby.

As we pulled into the hospital parking lot and the car finally stopped I found non of us unable to move.

I stared as he glared out of the window, frowned eyebrows making me consider this was something a bit more than just a canceled meeting.

Gathering my courage I finally spoke up.

" I-I think maybe you s-should go? Just hea-ar them out or something s-sounds important" I weakly stammered out.

A long silence followed, I sat and waited for the burst of anger or even the slightest hint of a reply but nothing.

I peaked at him through my dark lashes and saw a deep crease imbedded in his forehead

Had I upset him?

He looked upset, and the lack of response supported my theory.

Of course I couldn't just assume, I didn't even have the courage to ask again my first attempt already being shot down.

I simply tucked my hands between my thighs, turning my head towards the window.

If he didn't want to talk then we wouldn't talk.

Shortly afterwards the hospital came into view, I hopped out of the car before it could even properly stop.
