Nadiyah'a POVBack at the house I helped Mr Kni- I mean Xavier... still getting used to that, drag the billions of shopping bags through the front door.
" I don't understand-d why you'd buy me a-all this stuff when you-u literally know I'll just b-be leaving in a few weeks" I snap as Xavier briskly walks in not a single sweat broken on his olive skin.
I loath him.
" I already told you you're staying here the entire duration of your pregnancy stop resisting" Xavier smoothly replies.
I watch his biceps flex under the dark blue golf shirt he had picked to wear today and it hugged him so well fitting his skin like a glove.
It clearly wasn't his usual get up but the semi casual top made him look so handsome, well as more handsome as you can get when you're already built like a Greek God.
Stop drooling stupid!
My inner self yells but it's too late, watching in horror as his eyes catch mine openly gawking at him. I quickly move to remove my gaze but not before witnessing the sly smile and wink he shoots my way.
Now great! I'm as red as a baboons bottom
Busying myself to start unloading the groceries in the kitchen before I decide to speak, " I can't stay here forever I need to get a job and move out at some point."
Xaviers heated gaze sets fire to my skin, "a bridge we will cross when we get there now drop it." He replies in a very clipped tone.
Looks like I hit a nerve, I don't understand how I've known him less than two days and have already managed to upset him more than twice in 24 hours.
At this rate I won't be surprised if I end up on the streets again.
Sighing to myself I decide to lighten the mood a bit in hopes of not starting yet again another argument.
" Well all this stuff is still unnecessary" I Joke, mentally face palming myself for sounding so ungrateful for saying that.
You're supposed to make things better! Not ruin it further dummy!
"How?" Confusion swims in his beautiful moss colored orbs as he asks me this
" well for one I certainly didn't need almost 20 different new pairs of shoes" I reply my mind remembering what happened at the mall
Flashback
" do you like them?" Xavier asks as I glance at the beautiful thigh high leather boots.
My eyes trail towards the price tag and I physically cringe, fifteen hundred dollars for a pair of shoes? I can't even afford a cup of coffee where am at.
"No" I reply as I continue walking forward looking through the windows of the shops lined up but as i glance to my side Xavier is no where to be seen
I turn back around retracing my steps hoping I just couldn't see him in the mass of people yet his height alone sticks out like a sore thumb.
Suddenly a warm calloused hand grabs my wrist, fear and panic immediately rattling my bones before quickly melting away as my eyes connect with his mint ones.
"I bought the shoes" he says a bright smile stretched across his plump pink lips.
I can't lie and say that smile didn't do something to my insides it was absolutely breathtaking.
" X-xavier you didn't-" I begin to splutter out as he quickly shushes me.
" don't worry about it it's just one pair of shoes"
