I awkwardly and slowly put my phone down, confused about what that could be about. Obviously it's not someone trying to kill me because if they were, they wouldn't want me to meet them in a public place.

I look at myself in the mirror one more time before I leave. I pick up my Chanel 5 perfume and spray myself with it. I grab my purse out of the closet and leave. I walk downstairs and grab my keys, walking out the door. I start my car and drive off to meet the man or woman.

I look around and see the guy sitting in front of me. My heart drops. It was Daniel. Why the fuck did he ask me to him here? I could just tell anger was filled on my face.
I grab my purse and attempt to leave. But, Daniel grabbed my wrist, keeping me from going.
"Please, don't leave. I just- I just want to talk." Daniel says with sympathy written all over his face. I angrily sit back down.
"Talk, you got 5 minutes." I say, with a stern voice.
"I miss you." Daniel says trying to reach for my hand.
I roll my eyes and snicker. Was this nigga serious? He caused me so much damage inside I don't let anyone in. I keep my guard up 24/7 because of all the shit he's done to me.
"You miss me?" I say, laughing.
"Yes." He says looking directly in my eyes.
"You know how much shit you caused in my life." I say, with anger, while trying to whisper. "Not only were you toxic, you cheated, you manipulated me, you were mentally, emotionally, and physically abusive." I say.
"The only time I hit you was after that argument." He says
"And you remember why that argument happened ?" I say, getting more frustrated.
"Because I got another girl pregnant." He says trying to whisper under his breath.
"Yeah, because you got one of your hoes pregnant." I say loud and clear. "Not only that, that same fucking night I found out that I got chlamydia from yo lyin ass. So please don't come up here, talkin' bout sum you miss me. This pussy is the only why you here right now." I say.
"Naomi." I hear the barista yell.
Daniel was just sitting there in silence. I scoffed and gathered my stuff, to get my coffee. As I'm standing, I feel Daniel gripping my wrist, but harder this time. I try and get out of it, but he grips me even harder.
"Let go." I say, sternly. I could feel everyone's eyes on us.
"Nah, because I just wanted to come here and be civilized, but you wanna be actin like a lil bitch." He says even angrier and stern then me.
This reminded me of the night of our fight. I try even harder to get out from his grip, until Luke got in Daniel's face.
"Aye, man, the lady said let her go. So I suggest you do what she says." Luke says.
"And who is you? Her boyfriend?" Daniel says getting in Luke's face.
"A man who telling you to leave her alone." Luke says getting closer in his face.
"I'm going to need you guys to leave." A man who seems like the manager says.
"Yeah, aight. We leavin." Luke says, while putting his hand out for me. "C'mon, Naomi." He says, as I grab his hand. Touching his hand sent shivers down my body.
"Don't worry, Naomi. I'll get you back, one way or another." Daniel yells across the coffee shop. Me and Luke walk out the coffee shop. The awkward tension was heavy. Luke would open his mouth every time, but quickly close it.
"You look nice." Luke says.
"Thank you." I say, looking at my shoes.
"I'm sorry." Luke says.
I confusedly look up from shoes. Did he just tell me he's sorry?
"For what?" I ask, acting dumb.
"C'mon Naomi. You know what I'm talking about." He says.
"I do. But I'm sorry too. It wasn't just you, it was me too." I say.
"But, I'm the one who started it." He says.
"Well, what happened, happened. All we can do is move on." I say.
"Yeah, your right." He says.
The awkward tension fills the space between us. I open my phone and check the time to see that its 8am.
"Well, I have to go. Thank you for saving me in there today." I say, grinning at him.
"No problem. Besides no man should ever treat a woman like that." He says. "Who was that guy, anyway?" He asks with a confused face. "He's my ex-boyfriend." I say, hesitating. "Oh." He says with a shocked face. "Yeah." I say, nodding. "How long were you two together?" He asks. "We were on-and-off for about 3 years." I say. "I assume that's the reason y'all aren't together anymore." He says.
"And what is that suppose to mean?" I ask. "I didn't mean to offend you. I was just thin-" He says.
"Well don't. Don't think about what happened between us because it's none of your damn business." I say, aggressively. I realized what I had just said to Luke and instantly regretted it.
"Oh my gosh, Luke. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean that." I say.
"Nah, it's all good. Like you said it's none of my damn business. See you around, Naomi." He says as he is walks away.
I watch him walk away. I didn't mean it like that, its just when people talk about me and Daniel, I get sensitive about the topic. Everything that happened between us is still fresh.
I unlocked my car and went inside. I started the car and drove to work.
