"JASON! HAND ME THE LIGHTS!" Screamed Piper, piercing the minute long silence. "Right away Pipes," he replied wearily, this had been going on for two hours and and Jason swore she would be the death of him at this point.
Piper wanted this Christmas perfect compared to the hilarious disaster last year.

Flashback

Almost everyone was drunk, the exceptions were Percy and Annabeth, being the ones who were going to drive everyone home.  In about five minutes, everyone went to Hades, in the living room, Annabeth stresses about how the party is going despite Percy's reassurance until  Grover informs him that they need to go back to Camp for an emergency with prank gone wrong on Thalia's trees. Annabeth suggests that Grover have some vegan spring rolls to take his mind off of the Stolls and he departs for the dining room, only to return and confront Piper about the supply of vegan food having already been eaten. Grover, being a vegetarian, is frustrated because he thinks that Piper has eaten the spring rolls, nearly coming to blows with an unusually aggressive Piper before Annabeth steps in and advises Grover of other possible food options. He then goes back to the dining room. Meanwhile, a distraught Chris confides in Hazel about an issue that is unknown at the moment. Percy enters with a block of gouda cheese, which Annabeth quickly destroys. She then sits down, convinced that her party has been a disaster, but Hazel manages to convince her otherwise. Moments later, Leo runs through the house on fire.

In the dining room, Chris has eaten all the spring rolls as he converses with Clarisse. He then convinces her to meet him in the upstairs guest bedroom. After she departs, Grover arrives and Chris blames Piper for the missing spring rolls, frustrating Grover,  going into the living room, chewing on some silverware, to talk to Piper. Having witnessed the conversation between Chris and the Clarisse, Annabeth demands that Chris talks to her privately in the kitchen. Piper then asks Hazel for help in talking to Grover, during which Hazel struggles to prove she can maintain her composure over small issues that normally enrage her. Soon afterward, Percy and Chris both leave the kitchen upset and enter the living room. Grover re-enters the dining room, where Percy asks to speak with him privately in the kitchen. Eventually, he comes back into the dining room, where Jason tells him he threw a good party.

In the kitchen, Piper and Hazel continue their argument after putting the food they brought to the party in the oven and setting a five-minute timer. They argue over Hazel's tendency to start arguments with strangers at the slightest provocation and Piper's tendency to run from frustrating conversations, explaining their weird behaviour in the house. Unable to come to a resolution, they eventually disperse into the party before Annabeth and Chris enter the kitchen. Annabeth informs Chris of Clarisse, her frenemy, and her history involving people talking trying to talk to her: Connor, the latest person to talk to Clarisse was told afterward that she will hunt him down and have a "certain part of his anatomy removed". As she warns him again not come over too strong with Clarisse, the gouda cheese that Percy served is accidentally knocked to the floor and almost immediately covered in mice. A shocked Annabeth flees in alarm, followed by Chris soon after he replaces the cheese on the kitchen counter.

Percy and Grover then enter the kitchen, where Percy reveals that the recent long hours at Camp have resulted in the neglect of his pregnant wife. He requests a night off to relax with family and friends, to which Grover insists that its an emergency. Percy quits being Co-Camp director out of desperation, telling Grove he needs to relax if he does not want to work himself to death, then leaves to serve the cheese. Realizing Percy may have been right, Grover, decides to turn to Juniper for help. Leo had wanted to take down a beehive that had nested in in the basement and had doused the suit in kerosene to repel the bees. As Leo begins to enter the basement, the five minute timer for Hazel and Piper's dish goes off on the oven. Unaware of the danger, he opens the oven door and immediately bursts into flames. After a frantic run through the house, Leo leaps into the snow-covered front yard to extinguish the flames. Grover then asks if he will see Percy on Monday, to which Percy replies in the affirmative. When Percy attempts to re-enter the house, he realizes that Leo accidentally allowed the bees to escape their basement enclosure.

Meanwhile, Chris and Clarisse have been upstairs, oblivious to the action occurring in the rest of the house. Chris tries to sneak out when she begins describing how she will leave Connor writhing in pain in he tries to prank her again. He sees the escaped bees in the hallway and hesitates before slinking off into the hallway, screaming at the insect stings.

Yeah, complete disaster but now they laugh about it, except for Leo, being the one running on fire.
"JASON! COME HERE" Pipers voice shouted again, and he started to make his way to the living room again, not even thinking his steps as he had made this route a million times.

Jason was left flabbergasted* at the beauty of her tree, the fake snow frosted on the branches and the purple, red and gold baubles spread out on it, the warm white lights swirled around, the star on top shining brighter than the smile on her face, "Pipes this is beautiful! Ι don't know what to say,"

"I guess you could say it took your breath away."
