That game...
I finally decide to go back to that room. The animatronics were alone. No one was in there this time. "Are you lost?" They ask. I grow uncomfortable again, but stay. This is for me. This is for my escape. "Yes," I reply. "I am lost... Can you help me?" Annie looked at me in sorrow and was willing to guide me to my "parents."
"My name is... Amber. People say I look a lot like this other girl but I haven't talked to her yet. My parents lost me here and I don't remember where they went..." I was hoping Annie would fall for it, despite being intelligent even though they're made out of scrapped parts. "Do you remember the name?" I pretend to fall into deep thought. "... Uh... Hm... Ah! I believe they said they were going to go to Fizzy-Frenzy! I think we can find them there!" Annie smiled and pat me on the head. "Great, we'll search for them there." She grabs my hand and brings me to Fizzy-Frenzy. I look for my "parents," and find a woman with a similar hair colour to mine.
"There she is! Thank you so much for the help!" Annie winks. "No problem! I must go back to my stage. It was great seeing you though!" She stomps away and I'm finally left alone with the woman. Cameras were everywhere but here. I wonder why. "Hey miss..." She looks at me surprised, asking me "do you need anything?" I look at her with fake tears in my eyes, telling her I'm lost, and that my parents left me. "They... Laughed as they were walking away. They went into their car and drove without me!" The woman consoled me and said she would let me go to her house. As she hugged me I smiled. Even though I was somewhere with no cameras, I wouldn't dare make a suspicious expression the ones around me may catch.
The woman allows me to look around the place, and tells me she'll remain in Fizzy-Frenzy if I need her. How nice.
I walk back to a few of the other places. MiniFoods was fairly close to the Animatronic Showcase, so I went there in case I needed help from Annie. There's a man over there... I think he's holding something. He catches me glancing towards him and walks in my direction. "I see you're interested with what I have in my hand, right? Would you like to see what it is?" Intrigued, I say yes. He takes me to the maintenance room."Oh, I see you've found my arcade machine! Did you play it?" I feel uneasy and uncomfortable. "Yes... It was rather strange, sir." He smiles. "Strange you say? What do you mean?" I tell him about what I found at the bottom of the game and what I thought it meant. He laughs. "Oh-Hah! I think you know exactly what it means, which is great!" I look at him in shock. "Really...?"
"Absolutely! Oh, right, I forgot... The surprise you wanted me to show you?" "... Surprise?" "Of course!" He pulls out a rainbow-shaped case and raises a silver figure with a sharp point from it. He points it at my head. "Forget it." What? What is he talking about? "...Sir? What is wrong with you..." His hands seem to tremble and I could tell his eyes were beginning to roll back. "Sir?!-" "Forget. The. Game ." I look at him, frightened. I'm not shaking though... Hm. "Uh... Sir... I can't forget what you put on it though. I READ the words on the bottom..." He lowers the sharp figure to my mouth. "The words on the bottom? The bottom of the machine? You read them?" I reply with a quick yes.
He points the figure back to my head. "Well then, I guess you've seen enough, haven't you..." I smile softly. "Ah... What was it? Not every story has a happy ending, right?" He looks at me unfazed. Unimpressed. Furious. "You know too much, I'm afraid."
And.
