Chapter 8

"You should," I said. "If you need help, feel free to ask me," I said. He puts his hand on my shoulder. 

"I would like that," he said, leaving the room. "Night."

"Mhm," I said, falling back on my bed. Now, maybe this was my chance to get those two together. 

Next morning

I woke up a bit early like I wanted to, and took a shower. Then, I went downstairs and made breakfast for the first time. I ate it, and some left for my Onii-chans. After that, I left for school. 

The twins were there. I was expecting them to still be in their beds, I guess I was wrong. 

"Hey," I said, coming up to them. 

"We heard you were being nice to your Onii-chans yesterday, improvement," Osamu says. 

"You could say that, I guess," I said, rubbing my head. Then, we talked about more ways that I could start acting kinder. Many months went by, and my Onii-chans, the volleyball team, and my best friend were acting secretive around me, which got me frustrated. Onii-chan Rin also had a hard time purposing to Akiro. The twins gave me advice and I presented them to him. 

4 months later

I was heading to lunch with the twins, Onii-chan Rin, and Akiro when a girl bumped into me. Her books spread out on the floor, and she also fell. Everyone stared at me and, knowing that I was going to do something cold. 

That was not true. I started to remember my first lesson about kindness. I bent down and looked at her. 

"G-Gomen! I-I-I won't do it again!" She said, closing her eyes. I picked up two of her folders, and she opened one eye. 

"Here, gomen for bumping into you. I wasn't watching where I was going. Are you okay?" I asked while handing it to her. 

"H-Huh? A-Ah, yes...Arigato Miss," She says, picking up the rest of her books. 

"Please, call me Ruri," I said, handing over my hand so she could get up. 

"Arigato again," she said, smiling, and walked away. 

"Nice job!" the twins, Onii-chan Rin, and Akiro say. I heard some whispers behind me. It's true! Ms. Sour Candy isn't that sour anymore. After school, Akiro closed my eyes and guided me to the gym. 

"What did you want to sho-," I couldn't finish my sentence. There stood a black-haired man with blue eyes, smiling at me. 

"P-pa?" I asked. 

"Aren't you my little Sugar Plum?" He asks me. A huge smile appeared on my face and I embraced my father. 

"I-I thought you died!" I cried with joy. 

"Nah, your mama just kicked me out of the house," he says, shrugging. I let out a soft giggle and kept hugging him. Then, from behind the twins were there, holding flowers and chocolates. 

"Will you be our girlfriend", they asked. I feigned thought before answering their question.

 "What if I just choose one of you?" I asked in a monotone voice. They looked shocked, though not for long before they started glaring at each other. I looked between them and snorted, then started laughing. "I'm kidding!!!!" 

"HEY! THAT'S NOT FUNNY!!!!" The twins jumped onto me as they began whining. 

"You still haven't answered!" Osamu says, looking softly.

"Obviously yes! Are you dumb!" I say beginning to laugh. The twins looked at me with shock and happiness on their faces. I  hugged them as hard as I could and from the side, heard Onii-chan Rin asking Akiro out. Of course, Akiro said yes. But my Onii-chans weren't exactly happy with me dating someone. So, they started to pressure the twins, but that never stopped us from being together!!
