Tommy walked across the deck to his cabin. It was a clear day, not a cloud in the sky.

"Tommy?"

The boy paused, looking up to see Phil staring at him with wide eyes. Techno was stood next to him, watching Tommy carefully.

"What did you do?" Phil asked, pulling his wings in tight.

Tommy glared at him, "what I had to."

"Tommy, you killed Ponk! He had nothing to do with anything!" Phil told him.

"Neither did Ranboo and Sam killed him!" Tommy yelled, "Sam let me die in the prison! He deserves this."

"But Ponk didn't." Techno sighed, "and now he can never come back."

"Ranboo didn't deserve to die either." Tommy's voice was pinched, "he also can't come back."

"Tommy, we understand you're grieving," Phil stepped forward, hugging Tommy tightly, "but murdering for revenge... It's not the way to move on."

Tommy shoved Phil off, "You don't get it! First it was Dream! He tried to control the server! He ruined it! But now it's Sam! Why can't you see that!?"

"We can see it, but you killed an innocent-"

"Sam deserves to feel what I felt when he took Ranboo from us!" Tommy cut off the older, "Techno-"

The piglin shook his head, "no Tommy. That's too far, even for me."

Tommy's eyes went wide, "but- Sam he-"

"Exactly." Techno took a step forward, "you're after Sam. Ponk hasn't done anything to you. You had no reason to kill him."

Tommy grit his teeth, "says you. What about the festival!? You killed Tubbo and half the server! Was all that personal!?"

Techno glared at the boy, "that was war Tommy. Pogtopia against Manburg. I was taking out the opposing side."

"Tubbo was on our side!" Tommy shoved Techno away from him, "he'd already been outed as the spy! You didn't have to kill him!"

"I was put up on a pedestal in front of the entire server and ordered to execute one person!" Techno yelled, "what would have happened if I didn't!? I'll tell you. Schlatt would have ordered the whole server to attacked me! And I'm a good fighter, but not even I could handle that! I didn't want to execute Tubbo! I was forced to! You had a choice Tommy! You could have seeked out your revenge without Ponk!"

"YOU'RE A FUCKING DICK TECHNOBLADE!" Tommy screamed, "I WISH I NEVER CAME TO YOU DURING EXILE!"

"I wish you weren't a murderer!" Techno shouted back.

"I WISH TUBBO SUCCEEDED IN EXECUTING YOU!" Tommy yelled.

Tommy slapped his hand over his mouth, his eyes wide. Techno went silent, watching Tommy with hurt and shock written all over his face.

Techno looked away, "Get out."

"No, Techno I didn't mean-" Tommy could feel the tears and regret clawing up his throat.

"Get out!" Techno snapped, summoning his trident.

Tommy sprinted away. He heard Phil calling after him. Tubbo and Ghostboo watched as he sprinted through the snow, the shorter worried about his friend. But Tommy didn't stop. He kept running, and running. Even when the snow started melting into plains, Tommy kept going.

Eventually, Tommy slowed, panting heavily as he leaned against a stone structure. He didn't mean what he said to Techno. It just slipped out. He was so angry, he just... He didn't mean it...

Tommy looked up at his surroundings, only to stumble back in shock. The structure he was leaning on was Drista's bedrock. To his right was a large crater, and in front of him, a ragged tent.

Tommy walked over to the tent, his legs burning in protest. He dropped to the dirty bed. Something thumped against what sounded like a chest.

The blonde rolled off, looking under the bed. There was, in fact, a chest there. Tommy pushed the bed away, quickly opening the chest to find... A book?

Tommy sat back, looking over the cover. Why was there a random old book under his Logstedshire bed? Tommy carefully peeled the pages open.

His eyes immediately started tearing up. Ranboo's loopy handwriting filled the page. Tommy gently brushed his fingers over the words as he read.

Hey Tommy, I hope you're doing okay. I know it's been a while since my last letter, but you know how things are in L'manburg...

Um, anyway. Christmas is soon. I'm hoping Dream will let you come to at least the Greater SMP to celebrate. So, I guess I'll see you then. Bye for now Tommy.

Your friend,
~Ranboo Beloved

Tommy closed the book softly. It's been a year since this letter was written... How had so much time passed? He hugged the book as he curled up in the tent. This memory of Ranboo. It was the last thing he had left.

Slowly, Tommy drifted off to sleep.
