"I still owe you a dinner at my place" he says.

You roll your eyes and wonder why he isn't at the party since he is one of the most popular people in this university. But you shrug it off since it wasn't your business.

"I appreciate it but no thanks" you say full of sarcasm, trying to move but he traps you between his arms as he pushes you against the lockers. Your back hits a lock and you groan from the pain. You glare at him.

"And you still owe me a new suit" he whispers, deadly looking you in the eye.

"And you owe me personal space" you spit back and he backs away clearing his throat.

"Either way, you still gotta pay for my customised suit since you can't get a second one" he says, folding his arms upon his chest, his biceps flexing through his hoodie.

"17,229 dollars" he reminds you and you groan.

" would you leave me alone? It's not my fault that I ruined your cheap looking suit, you forced me, plus, I won't pay you. Not even a single cent" you say through your gritted teeth.

"Or is it that you can't afford it?" He says smirking. He's so arrogant that it frustrates me.

"Bitch" you mumble, colliding your shoulder with his on purpose while walking past him, exiting the college.

"Hoseok, is—" You tried talking to your brother but he kept on cutting you off. He seemed so cold, he was so different from his past self. What happened? What changed him?

"Enough Y/n. It's late, you should get some sleep. I'll drop you off to university tomorrow" he speaks in a monotonous voice, avoiding eye contact. He turns around, about to walk away but your words stop him.

"What happened to you? Why are you treating me so cold now? What happened to the nice and bright bro I used to know?"

He looks over his shoulder while his back faced you. You hear him sigh before giving you silence.

"Hobi, if your going through something you can tell me—"

"Will you be quiet for once?!" You hear him yell at you for the first time ever. He turns towards you and you cut off your words and stare at him in complete shock. You stare into his nearly impassive yet angry orbs which somewhat reflected a dark storm within then.

You couldn't recognise the young man in front of you anymore.

He was not the Hoseok you used to know.

"What?" Was all you managed to whisper while trying to fight the tears from falling from your eyes.

"Your annoying, that's all. Leave me alone" he breathes in a darker tone, leaving you alone in confusion, sadness, loneliness and anger.

The drive to university was dead silent. You couldn't even look at your brother in the eyes anymore. He seemed like a stranger. If there was a word that could describe someone way worse than a stranger, you'd probably use that on him. Strangers would even greet you, but for him, all he gave was cold gazes and silence.

After what seemed like forever, you finally arrived. Hoseok drove through the parking lot and stopped in front of the college main entrance. You exited the car and was about to walk into college but you had just remembered your bag in the passenger seat. You look back and see Hoseok glaring at you with a frown. You walk up to the window, about to grab your bag when he had already grabbed it, and chucked it out the window beside you.

You stood there in complete sadness and embarrassment as people walked by laughed at you. You looked at Hoseok for one last time before he drove away.

"He's sick" you mumble. You look at your bag which was laying on the ground besides you when suddenly a pair of black boots disturbed your thoughts. You watch a tattooed hand grab your bag before placing the shoulder sling around you.

You didn't even have to look up to know who it was. Just by his shoes and hands, you recognised your one and only nemesis.

Jeon Jungkook.

You look up, your sad eyes meeting his. His eyes which was filled with arrogance and a devilish look immediately disappeared into big doe worried eyes. The first time seeing his emotions turn this fast.

"H-hey . . . what happened?" He asked, voice filled with gentleness. Eyes blurring, your grip on your bag tightened as you walked away, rushing into the main entrance of college. You started to run up the stairs until you arrived at the rooftop you discovered not long ago. As you reached the top, you heard footsteps behind you.

"Y/n!" You hear him call. You look down, sighing, trying to keep your tears in. You didn't want to be seen as an embarrassment in front of the people who hate you. You turn back as you gathered your courage. You see Jungkook. His face looked different. His face was full of worry and confusion. He's hand reaches for his hoodie and pulls it off his head, uncovering his fluffy, dark brown hair.

"I- . . . you know. . ."  He began, catching his breath and thinking of how to word what he wanted to say. You looked straight into his eyes as he did the same.

"I don't know what's wrong but I just wanted to let you know that I'm here—"

Not letting him finish, you ran up to him and hugged him. Jungkook who was shocked couldn't even finish what he wanted to say.

His cheeks turned pink, taken aback on what just happened. His hands which weren't hugging you back yet were hesitating to do so. His eyes big and sparkly like no other day looked down at you who was crying in his embrace. His eyes softened at your state. Although you never spoke, he felt it. He understood through your eyes.

He finally wrapped his arms around you, and you feel warm just by his touch. He slowly caressed your head, calming you down.

"It's okay, things will get better" he whispered in the most comforting way possible. This was one side of Jungkook that you've never seen. He didn't break the hug, instead he let you embrace him as long as you wanted, he waited until you were done.

Moving away, you looked down flustered. "I'm sorry, I just . . . needed a hug" you apologise and he scratches the back of his nape, getting shy.

"Uhh . . . anytime?" He says along with an awkward chuckle. You give him a small smile and was about to walk away when he called your name.

"Y/n wait!. . ."
