"This is my kingdom."~
Salem had always been one for history, being raised traveling he had become infatuated with learning more about the placed he visited. He always found himself invested in the books at librarys in the towns and city's he visited.
"Hey kid, were about to close you need to either check the book out or leave alright?" The librarian stated simply while sorting through returned books.
Salem squeaked out a small okay before leaving quickly. Being a 3'5 and a sabel anima did not help with being confused for a child. He was 14, a teenager. Not a child. He pulled out his compass and followed the moon, which was rising in the south. He would go south in the serpent Fields before he would find the oceans path that merchants used to travel back and fourth through continent's. He was looking for an old friend he met a few year ago... When he was around nine years old.
Salem was often confused for a child, due to his small stature and his oddly large poncho he was always mistaken for a child and not an anima.
He was a sabel, one of the few left in the world. His family being killed in a hunt when he was young, all because they wanted the fire of his people for the winters. He of course got away and fled from the Orion mountains where hunting anima wasn't illegal.
Now he was safe... But he was alone. He didn't mind since he had a few friends he would go stay with. But most the time he just hopped from market cart to market cart. Traveling from country to kingdom to city.
He had gotten a ride on a market cart all the way to the docks on the far west of the serpent Fields.
He had gotten there quickly and before morning, where Azra, his friend would surely be coming back to the continent of calendula.
He sat on the docks and waited for azra's ship to pull up. And when it did he rushed up to it to see azra's crew anchoring the ship to the docks.
"Azra!" Salem said in a happy voice upon seeing the inky skinned titan.
"Hello! Oh it's so good to see you again Salem! How have you been? You've been safe right?"
"Mhm! Mhm!" Salem nodded. The man had crouched to speak to him with eye contact.
Azra was a 6'6 man with ink black skin, bright orange and red eyes, his hair was always pure white and curly and his horns were always sharp to the tip. His ears were pointed much like a elves. He was surely a Titan. One of the last at that. He was a Titan native to the island of Vesuvia, a very ancient island that very few people are from due to the population being wiped out by a deathly plague.
But Azra was going to live for a very very long time, which kept Salem very calm. Azra would live to be over 2000 years old. He was only 205!
"So Salem, I have a gift for you from my travels! Here you go kiddo" the Titan exclaimed, taking out a cloth wrapped box.
Salem took the present into his pawed hands and carefully opened it seeing a new messanger bag! His old one was falling apart and had many hold, this one was brand new and had so many more pockets!
"Thank you Azra!!" Salem said hugging the Titan, whom promptly hugged back.
The two had a very brotherly bond, Azra being the family Salem always wanted and needed.
"So kid, are we going on another adventure this time?"
"Yes! But have to go see Alise!"
Salem spoke with happiness, he seemed very excited about the new adventure. So Azra happily went along with him.
"Alright crew I'll be back, feel free to leave and see your family's but remember I'll be back in a few weeks!"
"Alright cap!" The crew shouted back. Azra crew is extremely faithful, since the man was very generous to them and provided them with family they never knew they needed.
Soon Enough, Salem and Azra headed off to find Alise in the weeping willow city.
