Antirrinos' POV

As we looked at the sky I caught a glimpse of a small object. It circles us for a moment before swooping down and nailing Claude in the head. "OW! You damn bird!" Claude seethed out. "What are you laughing at you fucking rat!" He shouted as he found me stifling a cackle. " Nothing, I just-" I burst out in an ugly cackle until the same bird flew smack in my face. "What the hell Mavis! That was uncalled for!" I sold the small bird. "Ha! That's karma for you bitch!" Claude wheezed out. "Ay! Shut up!" I yell.

*hello darkness my old friend*

"Hey Ant. It's getting late." Claude states the obvious. "I guess it is. I should leave before I can't see shit." I said as I stood up to leave. "It's a long walk though. How about you stay the night?" He said with slight amusement. I slowly look at him with shining eyes. "Expensive bed?" I ask excitedly. "Yes, an expensive bed. And I'll get you a lantern as well." He said delightfully. "Yes! Let's go!" I shout running in a random direction. "That's the wrong way!" I heard him yell.

*I've come to speak with you again*

I woke up to a knock at the door and a voice following it. "Sir. Antirrinos, His Highness wanted me to fetch you for breakfast." The disembodied voice stated. I sat up with a groan. "Ah, Alright I'll be right there." I said groggily as I stood up and hastily put my shirt on. "Thank you for waiting." I said while walking toward the door. When I opened the door I was greeted with a friendly face. "Ah! Hello Sir. Felix!" I said cheerfully. "Yes. Hello to you as well Sir. Antirrinos. Shall we be going?" Oh! Alright!" I responded. The walk to what I can only assume was the dinning hall was relatively short. Once we arrived Sir. Felix opened the door for me. As I walked in I could see an arrangement of foods from French toast to over easy eggs. I stared in awe before my name was called. "Ant. Stop staring and sit down." Claude said in a regal manner while I stared at the food then I turned toward Claude as if asking for permission to eat. He noticed my stare and nodded in confirmation while my eyes lit up.

"Thank you!" I exclaim quickly. Just when I was about to grab a plate the door slammed open. We turned to the door to see a fuming Penelope and a tired looking Felix.

"Claude, you were supposed to have breakfast with me, And not this- this commoner!" She shouted rather loudly. I glanced at Claude then at the food and released a sigh. "Okay, Listen here ma'am, You can eat with Claude whenever you please. But when he finally has a guest that he wishes to spend a meal with, then you want to eat with him?" I said blandly which seemed to piss her off more. "Who the hell do you think you're talking to? I am a royal consort! How dare you! Sir. Robane show him out!" She yelled with more volume gaining the attention of a few passerbys. "Oh spare me the tears and go cry about it to dad, I'm sure he would love to hear how his missing son is causing problems in the palace." I said. Penelope looked like she was about to explode and Felix looked shocked. "Ugh! You always ruin everything!" She exclaimed while storming out. "Yay! She left!" I said cheerfully whilst grabbing a random confection and happily taking a bite. Claude joined me soon after.

*hello my friend*

"Claude." I called out. "Yes?" He asked. "I have to go soon. I told Eldrea that I would work a full shift today." I said. "Oh. then I should see you off then. I would also like for you to come to the clearing around noon tomorrow." he commented. "Okay! That works out perfectly, cause I have something to show you tomorrow!" I said optimistically.

*the next day*

"So, whatcha want to tell me?" I asked tiredly. "Did you just wake up- Never mind that, I'll tell you after you show me your thing." He speedily replied. "Okie doki then." I said suspiciously. "Follow me!" I yelled marching off happily. After a fourteen minute walk we arrived at a large rock with an opening just big enough for a grown man and a small child to fit through. "Why are we here?" Claude asked. "This is what I wanted to show you!" I exclaim. "You wanted to show me a rock?" He inquired. "Haven't you ever heard it's on the inside that matters?" I quizzed him. "I have, But what's so special about a hole in a rock?" He questions me again. "You'll see. So shut up you're rambling again." I said finally shutting him up. "Now, Come on!" I shouted while running through the opening. "Hey! Wait up!" He stammered out.
