KOMAEDA POV

I awoke relatively late, as everyone else was already gathered around the TV, watching Nanami play some sort of fighting game against Soda. Well, almost everyone. Hinata wasn't paying much attention to the action onscreen, but rather looking right back at me. We made eye contact for a moment before he looked away, looking back at the television.

I rubbed my eyes and sat up, brushing a lock of hair behind my ear. I sat there for a moment, just looking at everyone having fun. They all seemed so happy. It was quite nice.

After a few moments, I began packing my things, rolling my sleeping bag up and fitting it back into my overnight bag.

I finished up and walked over to the couch, standing behind it and watching the screen with everyone else. I didn't mean to, but I had stood directly behind Hinata and Nanami.

Hinata looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back before looking back at the fight. I pretended not to notice when he stood up and walked around the couch to stand behind me.

"Komaeda, can I get your number?" He asked. I turned my head to look at him, somewhat surprised.

"Why would you want to talk to trash like me more than you have to?" I asked. He laughed a bit.

"I told you before, you're cool," he grinned. I felt my face heat up a bit, so I looked away.

"Yeah, sure," I said. I told him my number as he entered it in his phone.

"How do you spell your name?" He asked.

"Just how it sounds," I said. He looked confused for a moment. I sighed and took his phone from him to enter it myself.

"Oh, thanks!" He smiled. I nodded, still just looking at the game. As expected, Nanami was absolutely obliterating Soda. I heard Hinata sigh beside me. I looked over at him again, but he was looking at Nanami. He clearly loved her too.

I looked back at the television, letting my mind wander as Soda passed the controller off to Nedai.

"See you, Komaeda!" Nanami said, waving at me as I walked out the front door.

"Bye!" I grinned, shouldering my bag and starting off. Everyone else had left before me because I volunteered to clean everything, so it was mid-afternoon when I decided my mother would probably want me home.

I made it back, realizing there was no car in the driveway. She must be at work. Not surprising she would be called in on a Saturday. I took my keys from my pocket, unlocking the front door and walking in. I walked upstairs to my room, laying down on my bed and taking out my phone.

And as it had been for the past few days, I opened it to see a message. Though I didn't recognize the number.
