Y/NS pov

I groaned and stubbled into the apartment, that last battle I had with Batwoman really did a number on me. I collapsed on the couch and looked at my phone. "8 missed calls from Kate" I sighed and called her back.

"Y/n where the hell have you been" she asked and I groaned sitting up. I looked at the time. Oh shit I was supposed to go on a date tonight.

"Babe I'm really sorry I totally forgot about the date. I have just in from work, how about we go tomorrow" I said hoping she would forgive me.

"Fine but you better be there Y/n" she said and I smiled.

"I promise baby" I said then ended the phone. I groaned and stumbled into my room and collapsed in bed.

The next day

I sighed walking down the street when I saw Kate laughing and talking with Sophie. Oh isn't this just perfect. I walked over to them both. "Hey babe, Sophie" I said looking her up and down.

"Hey beautiful, what happened to your face" she asked. Oh shit I totally forgot about my black eye.

"Um, I fell down the stairs last night" I said giving her a small smile. She raised her eyebrow then sighed.

"Come on" she said taking my hand. We walked down the street and Sophie looked at me.

"So Y/n what do you do" she asked and I sighed. Why does everyone ask me that.

"I work for the GCPD" I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Of course you do" she said and I was about to say something but Kate squeezed my hand then she turned to Sophie.

"I think you should be on your way Soph" she said and we walked back to the Wayne building. I walked up the stairs and saw Luke.

"Hey Luke" I said sitting down on a chair. He smiled then turned to Kate.

"What she doing here" luke asked and at my phone. I have three messages. Oh great. I was about to read them when Kate looked at me.

"So about your eyes how did you really get it" she asked and I groaned. She sat down on my lap with a first aid kit. "Y/n I know when your lying to me" she said.

"Fine it magically appeared" I said and she sighed. Then touched my side and I winced. She looked me up and down.

"Y/n take off your shirt" she said and I groaned taking it off. She gasped and I sighed. "no way" she said.

"Kate I can explain this isn't what it looks like" I said and she shook her head taking a step back.

"This can't be possible there no way you can be her" she said and I looked at the floor in shame.

"I can't believe that you the black wolf" she said and I looked up at her with tears in my eyes.

"Kate I'm sorry, I do have my reason. Please just hear me out" I said and she shook her head and walked out the room.

I tired to follow after her but I knew that I couldn't do anything. Not while she's like this. I guess the best thing to do is give her some space.
