ANTIDOTE : The last breed

994 AD

In a small village called kome, lived a woman Juan, possessed with mysterious powers but she lived and hid amid men due to fear of not being known. the village shuns supernatural creatures as they believe that they were cursed and could bring bad luck. They executed anyone caught practising strange powers or religions, they call them downworlders as they believe that they have an association with demons and had demonic origin despite being humans. Juan had sisters who lived in brick lane, surrounded by high mountains ever seen, her two sisters Emma and Bridget lived happily with their ageing mother.

Alvaro Lugard a man well known in kome, fell in love with Juan and promised to marry her, but on the eve of their union, at dusk, Alvaro had come to surprise his future bride and he found her practising some witchy woo. he was so shocked as ran out in fear. Juan ran after him panting in fear, screaming his name.

Alva...! Alva!! I'll explain please come back. I didn't mean it to happen this way, please come back.

Alvaro ran into the woods and out of sight: Juan sat in the woods heartbroken...after a while, two men approached with touch lights, "here she is".

Juan got up immediately, "Alvaro is that you"?

{Alvaro} there she is

{companion} let's just silence her here, and now before anyone else gets to know

{Alvaro} no, I don't wanna hurt her... let's scare her away and threaten her not to return.

{companion} no, she's possessed with demon blood, if we let her go, she will multiply elsewhere and cause damage to the world. {Alvaro sighed and looked at him}

{Alvaro} So what do you want us to do? {confused}.

{companion} let's bury her alive.

{Alvaro} no! we don't have to...

{Juan} Alvaro, don't! please don't listen to him.

she stood shivering in fear and praying to her god about what her fate might be... "Deus si tua voluntate tribuatur"

{companion} you see what I'm saying, let's hurry before she turns us into something else with her witchy thingy. {to Alvaro} you know what, just go, I'll do the dirty work... I know you love her but you have to do the right thing to save future generations: get out of here, hurry!

{thunderstorms, Alvaro exits, leaving Juan behind as she cried, begging him to come back}

{companion} now what do I do to you, huh? ... pleasures before death you know?

{Juan} even if you want me dead, let me die in the arms of the man I love, please.

{companion} there will be no such thing, first, you have to shut your mouth while I do this real quick and send you to hell where you belong.

{Juan} don't touch me, I beg you in the name of whatever you serve...

{the man slapped her and started beating her. he used anything he could find until she was out of energy} shut the hell up! he yelled at her. forced his way on her and defiled her while she pleaded, swearing with her life.

when he was done, he tried to stifle the life out of her but was distracted by a wolf's cry so he fled and left her to die there or be devoured by a wild animal.

She lay almost extinct in the woods bleeding profusely. Watching herself bleed, she struggles to make it home to rehabilitate. With every drip that came off from her gave a thousand curses.
What if I don't make it home... she cried. The thunderstorm bequeathed a percussion of rain, the lightning stroke and there was darkness on the face of the earth. (In pain) He would suffer, he.... (Coughs) and his generations will. They shall be an abomination to the face of the earth and the human race!.

The sun and the moon shall enslave them, nature shall reject their kind till it gets dawn on them. She cried painfully as she draws her last breathe, we shall meet again (were her last words)

the moon gave a libra sign, a waning crescent phase. it was as if the universe paused and nature went still. just then, Juan's little sister Emma felt her demise in a trance and screamed as thunder roamed. she told her sister and they agreed to go to Kome early in the morning, the next day. they used their blood for connection to know the exact place she was and they cast a spell to protect her body from mortals and animals till the next day.

At dawn the next day, the news circulated in the village and Jake, Alvaro's companion was termed a hero... he paraded the entire village on a horse as people threw Palm fronds, hailing him. everyone was so pleased with him. Emma and Bridget came and took their sister's body, on their way leaving, the people of Kome saw them and went after them. The witch sisters ran as fast as their legs could carry them till they were out of sight, the people of Kome sent five men who went after their mother and killed her.

Bridget and Emma ran to a different land and used a location spell to bring Juan's body and bury her there. they decided to settle there and call it home where they started over to build back everything Kome had taken from them.
