Chapter 3

Cara's POV
We escaped my building in minutes...it was silent in the car.Alethea was beside me staring at the window she worked so hard she was the best fighter here...next to Michael of coarse...it was night time and Michael was getting tired..
"I'll drive"alethea stood up and took the passengers seat with much effort she went in the drivers seat and drove she was tired from everything she's doing I could tell..I felt somehow worried about her..
She drove for about an hour im not really sure where we are going
She stopped on a Clift..
"We are going too Stay here tonight.."she went out and signed I observe her she was getting tired..she took her gun and went on guard for the night.. I can't leave her here I mean she's all alone
With much thinking I went out of the car and joined her
"You okay?"
"Yeah"she turned to me to offer a smile
"You sure?"i scotched closer and lay my head on her shoulders we were facing such a beautiful scenery the stars were shining
"I'm just worried about my parents..I haven't seen them yet they might be dead for some reason.."she laid her head on top of mine
"If they are..dead?-im also worried about us.."I held her hand and caressed her thumb with mine
"Us?"
"If we'll survive..if will meet new people?..if those people will betray us?"she continued
"Alethea..people go crazy in this world..we can't prevent them from doing what they want..it's just our choice if we want to meet them or not"I looked at the stars so beautiful
This moment feels right it just feels great..it feels like there are no problems in this world I could fall asleep in her arms tonight and not worry about a single thing I felt my eyes closing I fell asleep in minutes with her

Alethea's pov
I felt a light snore on my shoulders I look to see Cara there sleeping I can't help but smile at her she's so cute
I admire her so much on so short time I just met her earlier right?
As best as I can I stood up and carried her to the car with the others..they were all asleep so I guess I'm keeping watch tonight i signed and took out my bat
I walked up to a dry place and made fire..using sticks and other nature shizz
I heard a few noises I turned around and aimed my gun it was a group of people with red scarfs on their heads a man approached
"Well hello there gorgeous"he had a few scars and an eye patch
"Mind if I take you home"he came closer I was tired but I knew I needed to fight I held my gun and bat as I was ready for a fight

I was fighting for my life I took out 5 men and there were still 5 I was out of bullets and was using the bat suddenly a man caught my bat and grabbed my arm soon another did they beat the shit out of me I was in a bruised state Soon was being dragged somewhere
I couldn't tell it was dark
I'm dead shit!

Cara's Pov
I woke up the next morning...and saw almost everyone asleep but where is alethea? I got out of the car and saw a fire place and 5 guys..dead
I knew something wasn't right
"Guys!"soon they all woke up and headed towards me
"What the hell happened here?!"Michael said in his sleepy voice
"Who cares where's my best friend?!"patrick was panicking hell he was sweating
"Cara?!"they all said
"I don't know..she was the only one who was awake last night?..was she?"I thought
"No impossible!"patrick fired back "alethea isn't dead maybe she just got lost I mean right?"he was looking paler
"We have no time to look for her.."Michael said and pointed at a view on the Clift an army of zombies are headed towards our direction
"But we can't just leave alethea out there!"I shouted
"If we stay..well all get eaten!..now move!"he shouted then we heard gunshots from a far we all stopped to our feet I heard so much noise running and screaming
I looked to see a familiar figure running towards us with a few others chasing it I looked closer to see
"ALETHEA!"I screamed they all liked and saw her she came out of the trees holding her arm which was bleeding her eye was also in pain he was panting so hard
Along her followed to guys I clearly knew she was in trouble the first guy grabbed her arm as I saw this he was about to slice her arm

As soon as I can i aimed my gun at her head and shot him dead..the 2nd guy was already dead he had a knife slit down on his throat.yuck.
"Alethea..you alright?!"i urged
"Yeah..I-im fine"she was panting hard"just a wound"she offered a smile she was so naïve she basically saw positivity in everything
I carried her to the car which wasn't necessary because she can walk..but hey I wanted a chance to touch her so okay as we were all in the car..Michael said
"Great..the freaks are here.."he groaned and started the engine
I felt patrick flinch beside me
"So your saying-we have to leave alethea?..you want her dead?..are you shitting me!"he seemed freaked out alethea was pissed
"JUST FREAKING STOP!..I'll go up and bang the freaks while you drive.."she struggled to go up but I stopped her
"Alethea..stop this..your gonna die if you push your body further..I'll go"I grabbed a rifle and a grenade
"Drive!li screamed and soon Michael was driving across all the freaks like there's no tomorrow I began to shoot it all
