Chapter 14

Cara's POV
I've been in my room for a whole week since ALethea sacrificed herself. It was something I could never get out of my system. Kendall said the same. We both loved her. And she loved us both equally. I hope. I felt her words echo
"Cara...kendall get out of here now!"

"I love you cara..kendall" it made me cry even more. She was dead. My savior . I removed the day we met at my apartment. She saved me. Who knew in this post apocalyptic world. Some love still exists.

I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in"
A brunette girl walked in
"Cara. Can I join you?" Kendall knelt infront of me
"A-sure" I said and patted the bed for her to sit
We lay there speechless motionless.

She's dead right?

I hope still there's a chance she isn't.

Alethea's POV
The first thing I saw was chelsea sleeping soundly beside me. I tugged away the loose strands of herbeautiful hair and stood up careful not to wake her up. I walked to the hallway to look at some pictures.
"Hey.." I turned to see Sarah there looking at me. She was attractive tho.
"Hey." I said and looked at her.
"Alethea..can you fight?" She asked
"Yeah I can." I smirked at her
"Hey I don't like the look on your face there" she pointed and smiled
We went to what they call the training ground which is the basement
We decided to use melee
"Okay let's see what you got" she handed me a katana
It was light
"Alright?"

We were fighting. With the swords clashing like wild fire. I never fought so intensely like this. I dodged her blade and trust my blade to her she dodged it and lifted her blade which injured me on my ankle. It was bleeding
She pointed the sword at me
"Your a good fighter.." She picked me up.
"Thanks." She smiled at me she was gorgeous. She patched up my wound.
"Can let you in on something?" I said and turned to her she was eating a spoon full of macaroni
"Sure?"
"I'm immune to the freaks."
"That's not possible.again."
"It's true."
"Don't get me wrong Alethea but..immunity is dangerous."
"Why?!"
"Everyone wants you!..they want this crazy world to end. They want you dead haven't you heard.."
"Heard what?" I asked
"You see there are 6 immune people in this earth......they were all killed.well 4 of them at least 2 are still alive. And your one of them."
"Why?"
"Cause people..think they are freaks..people get jealous of them because they can survive this world and normal people like us can't..so they do is extract a cure from them which is impossible since the extract only contains immunity no antidote." She explained.
"I almost got extracted."
"Almost?"
"I escaped..kinda.."
"Kinda?"she asked
"When I was being rescued.." I told her everything.
She seemed to understand it.
"Cara and kendall right?..you both loved them.."
"Yes I did and my love for them always reached equality." I singed and stood up.
"Alethea.."
"You know very well that love for each person can never always be equal."
I smiled
"You know your smile can never fail to brighten up my day" she said and walked closer.
"What?" I said and smiled at her compliment.
"Alethea close your eyes...." I did what I was told
" wha-" I felt soft lips on mine. I opened my eyes to see Sarah...we were kissing. I heard a gasp and I pulled away to see. Chelsea.
"Che-"
"Sarah?!..what the hell are you doing?!" She walked to our direction and slapped sarah. She laughed
"Nothing?" She said and pulled me to her.
"Don't nothing me!" She pulled my other arm.
"Do you remember what happens to-" soon Sarah slapped chelsea
"Don't ever tell me it was my fault." She said I can feel the tension.

They were fighting now. I was pulling them away but can't .
"You bitch!" Sarah was on top hurting chelsea soon they flipped. I had enough of this
Soon the guys came and separated them.
"That's enough!!" I shouted everyone was silent. I know what I have to do.
"I don't belong here. You guys keep digging because of me for that im leaving-"
"You can't leave Alethea" Chelsea struggled to free from there grip and went closer to me
"You'll die.." She wa almost in tears I smiled and said
"I'll be fine. I'm going back to my friends to Cara and kendall." I smiled she seemed to understand it.
"Tomorrow morning in leaving alrigh?" I grabbed her and hugged her
"Where are you going?!" She said as I walked and gathered my stuff If I had any

"Back..home chelsea" I smiled and went to our room. I'm on my way kendall cara
