Theory #7
This one was written by my good friend Olivia. After the fall of the faction-style government, Tris and Four move to Panem, hoping for a new beginning.
Tris and Four have a two kids, named Katniss and Prim. Four takes an extra job as a coal miner, and when the explosion happened, Tris locked herself in her room, which led Katniss to not believe or trust her mom, and raise Prim herself.
To save Prim, Katniss volunteers as tribute into the Hunger Games.
That's how it started, your life is ruined! :3

One more thing: I figured out why Katniss volunteered as tribute. If this theory is true, it's because of her mother. Tris was born into the selfless, Abnegation, then transferred to the brave, Dauntless.
She volunteered because her mother taught her to be selfless and brave.
