Since Koga's fight with Jake, things have been going pretty well for him. His rib healed up, he met with his favorite UFC fighters, did a quick podcast with some of them, went back to school, did his school life, graduated from school, and got a job at the gym he goes to.
Of course, shortly after the fight, Koga was informed that Jake tested positive for steroids. He was suspended from boxing until further notice. When he was asked about it, he told them that he felt Jake had a second wind after one of the break rounds.
He also had his devil identity revealed by Ward. At first, Ward was upset. He thought back to that time when he died in that tournament fight. But as time went on, Ward thought about how hard Koga worked to bring him back to life. He's forever thankful for that. He eventually managed to overcome the fact that they were two different people.
The gym that Koga's worked at has had its good times and bad times.
Koga was working out alone. He did his regular workout but did it almost an hour longer. He wiped his face with a towel and headed outside.
Chisato: Koga?
Koga: Oh. Hey, Ms. Hasegawa. What are you doing here?
Chisato: I decided to go for a little walk. What are you doing here at such a late time?
Koga: Oh, I work out here. I have been for years. I also got a job as a trainer here. It pays nice and the timings are perfect. I only have times to work out when it's late. It's nice.
Chisato: It's good to see that you're enjoying your adult life. Tell me, do you have any plans?
Koga: No. I'm off work and I'm free.
Chisato: In that case, how about dinner at my place?
Koga: That's fine I guess.
Chisato: Good. I'll pick you up here in 30 minutes. See you then.
She walks off as Koga heads home. He cleans himself up and changes into a new set of clothes.
Koga: Hey mom, I'm going to be home a bit late. Ms. Hasegawa is treating me to dinner.
Monica: How nice. Make sure to tell her your thanks.
Koga: I will.
Monica: One more thing. Did she tell you about what her family's role was when it came to ours?
Koga: Yeah. Marriages or other close relations.
Monica: She's a woman who takes pride in what she does. This dinner plan of hers is something that happens a lot to make relationships closer. She thinks that she has to do this for our clans.
Koga: I know. I don't understand someone who can live a life like that. Love should happen naturally. It worked with you and dad.
Monica: I know. If you truly believe that, then maybe you can change her mind on this. If she still acts the same, it may be possible that she may be your wife someday. Give it some thought.
