Motherly love

~~~~~Bucky's POV~~~~~
I just finished up talking to some pretty girls outside the movies when I noticed Steve missing, again. Heading out of the door I stumbled into the briskly cold night, glancing down the warmly lit street I heard groaning noises coming from a seduced ally.
As expected I see Steve trying his best to land a hit on this random guy, until this girl grabbed a pipe out of his hand knocking the man to the ground. Pretty impressive for someone who looks like they are about to pass out.
"Dam, even a little girl can hit harder than you," I shouted to them as I quickly made my way over.
Suddenly the girl collapsed onto Steve, his small arms barely supported her weight. I went to go and help, but I saw the guy stagger as he stood, grabbing the pipe that was just used to knock him out.
Rushing passed Steve and the girl whom both of them seemed to be struggling to stand. I ran towards the man, he waved the pipe around in a drunken manner. Using my strength to knock him into the wall I swiftly disarmed him, punching him round the head until he was black and blue. Satisfied he was knocked out cold for the rest of the night I turned back around to help Steve.
"Come on Buck, we should take her back shes not looking to good," Steve shouted over to me, as the petite blonde girl started to stand again.
"She looks fine to me," I spoke as I walked up to them, looking down at Steve's exhausted expression.
As soon as I said that she fell back, it was just her luck that I was right behind her as she crashed into me. Stopping her from falling I supported her limp body only now seeing the extremes to her battered form. Bruises and cuts were littered round her exposed skin, the bags under her eyes explained it all.
"We must take her over to my place, my mom can help her," Steve breathed out through tired breaths.
I gave him a questioning look to whether we should be taking home random injured people, but Steve simply rolled his eyes and attempted to try to carry the girl, "fine, I've got her."
Scooping the girl up bridle style, I walked out the alleyway along side Steve as we headed home, getting questioning looks as we passed people. The girls eyes flickered open for a brief second, they were blue, ocean blue, they seemed to be full of story's and secrets. Who is this girl?
Reaching the stairs of Steve's apartment, I sighed my arms about to give way from the dead weight slumped in them. He fumbled around with for ages trying to find the right key, making me chuckle at his sweet nature.
We finally entered, heading straight for the couch I gently placed the blonde down, shaking my arms slightly to stop them from aching. Both of us stared at her not knowing what to do, "when is your mom home?"
"She said she'd be back when we would be," he shrugged his shoulders, as if on queue the front door opened.
"Hi boys how was the movie, oh my gods what have you two done," Steve's mother exclaimed as she hurried over to the couch.
"Steve decided to be the good Samaritan of the day and tried to take on a man twice his size, then making me carry her all the way home," I guested to the young girl resting on the couch.
