Tobio had enough of it. He was so tired of the same thing always happening. He just left their table and walked out of the Cafe. He isn't gonna take this bullshit today.
It had been one of his and Tooru's once in a blue moon dates. They both were quite busy with studies and volleyballー mostly the latter for Tobioー so they spend most of their free time at each other's house.
He hates going on dates.
No, it doesn't have anything to do with the brown haired alien geek of his boyfriend. Well it did but not directly at least. It's just every goddamn time they appear anywhere in public together, the brunette's screaming fangirls just appear out of nowhere.
Tobio doesn't understand what kind of sorcery they use. They don't tell anyone about their dates but they still just pop out of the ground standing in front of his boyfriend who is of course more than happy to entertain them during their date.
Tobio disliked his fangirls but never showed any disapproval towards them since he knew how much his boyfriend liked to eat up their praise. He never led them on, always informing them about Tobio and might even say showing him off at some instances so he never even thought about hating them.
Until today, when all of his inner annoyance and hurt just broke the dam and flooded his mind.
They had been apart because of the older's university away games and haven't seen each other for quite a while. The daily calls and texts could only do so much to make him miss his boyfriend less. Although he'd never admit it.
So he expected his dear partner to at least give him time on their date but what could even be more important than his old high school giggling fangirl's entertainment.
Tobio has been craving some, well, affection. Now he feels stupid for thinking that way about someone who doesn't feel the same way at the least and rather spend his time with almost strangers.
He was extremely embarrassed when Tooru stood up and went up to them, leaving him alone with his vanilla milkshake as people gave him pitiful and snarky stares.
So he left.
He isn't going to force anyone to spend time with him when they don't want to. He's way better than that. Sugawara san made sure to drill self worth inside his head.
It did stung though. Was he really that unimportant? Or did Tooru liked his fangirl's presence more? They don't have any major issues in their relationship. But maybe he didn't find Tobio fun any more? Is he losing feelings now that he's in university and meeting more people?
In the midst of his thoughts he bumped into a hard body and stumbled back falling on his back in a pool of mud. He already wasn't having a good day and now his clothes are ruined too. Just fucking great.
"Oya, is that blueberry kun?"
He quickly got up to face the one and only Kuroo Tetsurou in flesh.
"Kuroo san." he greeted bowing a little. It's been a while since he's seen the ex Nekoma captain.
"So formal Kage kun. I guess it's expected from you country lads." the older boy laughed making Tobio scowl even more than usual. Here he's half drench in mud and this guy thinks it's wise to make these remarks.
He deserves Tsukishima honestly.
"Don't scowl so much kiddo. Looks like you're covered in mud now too." Kuroo san said, giving him an once over. He just wants to go home now, but Suga san will be disappointed if he knew Tobio didn't even try to make small talk with an acquaintance.
"It's whatever. Are you here to see beanpole, Kuroo san?" he also doesn't want to keep the other from going to meet the salty middle blocker.
"It was supposed to be a surprise but it looks like Tsukki has gone over to his relatives house. I was thinking about just walking around until he gets back." the middle blocker looks really excited about meeting the blonde, even going as far as to surprise him and wait around to meet him.
