I froze at my place hearing the doctor saying sorry. My brain stopped working and I couldn't think of anything.
"What are you sorry about, doctor?" I heard someone asking from behind me but I couldn't recognise who it was.
I looked down with a frown and blinking my tears. My mind was fogged and all I did was look at the doctor in front of me when he said his next words, with my wide shock filled eyes which screamed pain and helplessness.
"We tried to revive her. B—but we were too late. She slipped into coma." The doctor said.
My head snapped up, hearing the word 'coma'. I felt an indefinable pain in my heart. I could feel my breathing getting heavy and my heart hurt because I blamed myself for this condition of my wife. I had promised to protect her but I failed.
My eyes blurred with pained tears and I felt my visions getting blurry. My head spun which caused me to grip my head.
