CH 9- Reminiscing

Kyojuro Rengoku felt alive to you. The warmth of his hands holding yours between his. He started to frown as you were speechless. You could feel him which made you overwhelmingly happy. Kyojuro spoke up to rid the silence between the two of you.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I just saw something." You replied. "Well, The truth...." You continued. You were ready to express it not being real but Rengoku's cheerful attitude prevent you from doing so.

"Is it your Blood Demon Art? It's kind've special. The more you give it attention maybe you could actually become a problem!" He laughed. You couldn't even bring yourself to shatter your illustration of the moment. How it felt to you when you were both in the mountains."Not saying you're entirely weak now." He added. You smiled kindly towards him. You knew this was an illusion but it satisfied your soul to see him smiling.

"Well, would you take my hand in marriage, (y/n)?" He asked. "I don't want you to feel used... or that you're being taken for granted." He had come to sit beside you and then took your hands again. His lips lightly kissing your ring finger. You wondered why you didn't speak. You wanted to say yes but you remembered how shocked you were. You only had blushed and looked away. Which was something you remembered and played out..

"I always wanted a big family! If we can't have one at the moment, there's so much time for us in the future!" He imagined. It made you cry slightly. "Oh! Did I say something??" He panicked. He hugged you and you cried harder. Your emotions were overwhelming.

'Why didn't I just say Yes?' You thought, holding him felt so warm. It started to not feel so and instead you felt and smelt blood. It felt soo real. You didn't open your eyes until his next words caught you off guard.

From an outside perspective, a groan echoed from inside the wall of fog. A loud cry of great saddness expanded the wall. Sanemi and Gyomei were left alive, unfortunately Muichiro had died. Sanemi wasn't a stranger to the sight of (y/n)'s abilities. With what he had left for now. He would use it.

'Shit.'

He cursed but turns to Gyomei.

"She's there."

In your illusions, you held Kyojuro who's appearance changed. He was bleeding everywhere. And spoke with the fight of life on his voice.

"Young Kamado..." he said. It shocked you and you looked up. There behind you was Kamado Tanjiro crying before him. "(Y/n), is a demon. She is what is left of my legacy..." it was confusing for Tanjiro to take in but he continued.

"Her being pregnant is a miracle... but she will be in danger. Don't let him win. Tell her..." he felt himself slipping away. Tanjiro's tears began to fall again. "Tell her I'm sorry I couldn't make it to our future. That I will love her in every life time." He started to have a hard time breathing as you watched crying uncontrollably.

How could you see this moment. Eventually, his eyes wandered over to you. It was like he knew you were there. His eyes than looked back at Tanjiro before him.

Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu were hearing Kyojuro out on the information he gave them. They were heartbroken by his dying words he'd request they carried out. "Do your best. All of you." You wanted to run to him but soon felt a tug on the back of your clothes. Eventually, you were torn out of your illusion and into arms. Upon impact, you had wrapped your arms around the force that took you. You opened your eyes to see a scarred man. He seemed out of shape but he carried you with only so many fingers left.

"Tch. Are you done day dreaming?" The man smirked down at you.

"Sanemi....? Was it?" You asked. He nodded but then the Castle began to collapse.

"Shit! Hold on!" Gyomei then towered over you both to block the falling rubble. The floor broke and the lot of you were falling from a high place.During the fall, you watched as Sanemi and a Gyomei were making sure you weren't crushed. You were a demon after all.

"Aren't you going to kill me?" You asked, Gyomei lifted your the rubble. You'd notice you were all in town. There was Kakushi everywhere for support. After asking, you felt your neck get stabbed which threw you into a deep slumber. Everything becoming inaudible.

"Take.............."

"G...Watch out!"

"1 hour!"

"Tanjiro...!"

"Br......please!!"

"Come back....!"

Your eyes opened and closed at the scene before you. So many people dying. You felt the sun start to look over the horizon. You expected to burn there, it hit your cheek but eventually, a cover was thrown over you. Everything becoming out of sight, out of mind, and out of thought.
