So if you're reading this I just wanted to thank you for reading this book, it's based on my shifting experiences which I thought would be fun to make into a fanfic :) Anyways, hope you enjoy the book!

Agghhh, tomorrow I'm gonna start at my new school!! I've heard much about it but I've never visited, gosh I'm so exited!
I stood in my room packing everything in my trunk with my initials on it. It looked so cool. Right now it was different shades of brown and was pretty heavy, probably because of the good quality.
I packed my teddy bear "rookie" since I've had him since I was four when my father bought it for me. He looked a little smooshed against the side of the trunk as I pressed it shut.
In my other, smaller, trunk I put all of my books in the bottom of it. "Care of magical creatures", "quidditch throughout the ages", "divination for beginners", "D.A.D.A", "potions for beginners "and "charms for first years".
When I finished packing I put the smaller wooden trunk on top of the bigger one at the end of my bed.
Dad called my name from the bottom of the stairs:
"Y/n, go to sleep now, you have a big day tomorrow"
"Yeah I know, I'm going to bed soon dad" I answered eagerly wanting to go back to writing in my diary.
Soon enough I blew out my candles on my dresser and cozied up in my bed. I looked out my window right next to my bed and saw a city hidden in fog. The dim lights in the distance put me to sleep with a warmth in my chest.
