Chapter 1 - Can We Still Do My Nails

"Jinx did you hide my book again!!" I yelled across the room. She's 15 now and she still won't stop hiding my things. It's a small thing that she always does to get on my nerves but I always find it amusing as well.

"Nooo of course not why would I do that??" She said smugly.

"Haha very funny, you know one day I'm going to hide all your favorite things as payback."

"HAH I'd like to see you try." Jinx sat back in her chair messing with her bombs, "I'm making a brand new bomb and when It explodes it going to have big fire works come out of it!" She laughed demonically.

"Really? Hm well how about when your done with it we can try it out on some of our missions- the fireworks can be a nice flare to things."

She smiled and continued drawing faces and scribbles all over the bomb.

I was about to say something until I heard a knock on the door, "Come in!" I yelled. The door opened with a creak and it was none other than Silco. "Jinx do you mind?" He said, he held up the object that jinx had to use to put the shimmer inside of his eye.

She hopped up and took the object and the both of them waltzed back to his office. As for me? I'm going to find that book that jinx hid.

Jinx soon came running back to the room, "Silco has assigned a new mission for us- we have to ship some cargo or whatever." She swayed her hips and rolled her eyes as she messed with her nails, "Y/n do you mind repainting my nails when we get back they are chipping again."

"Yes of course. Let me get dressed jinx and I'll be out soon."

She slammed the door shut, not cause she was mad she just has a habit of slamming and or destroying things when rushed.

I put on a fishnet long sleeve with a tight black tank top over it with a small waist corset and ripped jeans. I zipped up my boots and grabbed my bag and met up with Jinx and Sevika out the door.

The travel there was honestly a blur, all we were really doing was transporting shimmer. Soon enough we were on the ship making deals with the mail person. He looked terrified cause of Sevika but I mean he should be, it's Sevika we are talking about.

"Jinx go and protect the cargo." I informed her. I saw her smirk and run off somewhere.

Great job Jinx.

"What the hell?" I muttered there were new people surrounding us. Fuck, it was the Firelights

They started storming their way into the ship placing their bombs on the ground and trapped everyone else in golden crystals. Luckily Sevika got out because of her arm and she punched me out of the crystals as well.

I saw two of the Firelights go under the floor, wait where is jinx?

Jinx then made her grand entrance by grabbing two bombs and having them explode.

I tried walking towards her but I felt a burning pain in the back of my head as I fall straight forward. Didn't see that coming. I turn over only to see a foot coming straight for my face. I quickly rolled over to avoid getting my nose broken. Rolling back over I took the persons foot and pulled them onto the ground with me, I kicked them in the stomach a few times as they punched my arms and legs.

It hurt so bad but we need to get this cargo. The person eventually stopped moving which gave me a sign that they had passed out. Perfect, I don't need any distractions right now.

"Jinx where are you-" at that moment I heard a large amount of bullets go off. I duck and cover not wanting to get shot. Lifting my head a bit I see it's Jinx- she's having another episode. What caused it this time though?

I stayed in a ball position until she was done shooting the place up.

"Jinx!? Are you okay what happened?" I get up and walk over to her. She looked tired and almost terrified as well. It's getting awfully hot in here, ah shit a fire is starting.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" Sevika yelled, she stormed over to the both of us and pushed me out of the way standing directly in front of Jinx.
"Do you have any idea what you have just DONE? You were supposed to protect the cargo!" Sevika raised her voice as Jinx just gave her a deathly stare.

I stood there watching the two of them stare each other down, "Guys let's leave before we get caught here," I chimed in, "Jinx, what happened back there?" I pulled her aside but she just brushed it off.

"I'll tell you more when we get back, can we still do my nails?"

"Yes of course." I say as I pull her in for a side hug. She then threw herself on me hugging me tight, "Jinx we should leave soon." I say rubbing the back of her head.

"Your right." We let go of each other and started to sneak our way home.
