"Silco she ruined the whole mission!" Sevika slammed her hands on the desk. I stood next to her as Silco took out his lighter to smoke.

"I'll talk to her." He said

"That's what you ALWAYS SAY. But it never works she keeps fucking with everything!!" Sevika sat down frustrated.

"What about you y/n?" Silco turned to look at me. His stare was kind yet cold. But what mattered about what I have to say?

"Hm? What about me?"

"What happened?"

"Oh well I couldn't see that well I was fighting someone off and next thing I knew I heard Jinx's machine gun go off, so I took cover as anyone would do."

"Was there any particular reason why she started shooting?" Silco let out a large smoke cloud.

"It was very foggy from all the smoke bombs we used as distractions and since I was occupied with another person I'm sorry but I don't know the exact reason."

Silco nodded and waved his cigarette in his hand.

"Sevika do you mind taking over the next mission?" Silco said, Sevika just nodded, "good now you may leave." Sevika lead herself out the door and I walked right behind her.

"Not you y/n you stay." I paused, oh? Why must he need me? I walked back over towards him on his side of the desk.

"Were you being honest?" He leaned forward in his chair as I sat on the edge of his desk.

"About the mission? Of course, you know I'm the most honest person you know. Plus why would I lie?"

"I know your honest, but you know how paranoid I get, I just wanted to ask again just in case you did know the reason Jinx went a little crazy but maybe just not want to say it in front of Sevika."

He looked a little puzzled as he stared at the floor. A strand of hair was a little lose on the front of his hair so I decided to fix it. I'm not really thinking about what effect this could have I just want to touch him in some way.

My fingers laced up with the strand pushing it back, and for a little something extra I decide to guide my hand to the side of his cheek gracing it for a moment before pulling it back.

Silco grabbed my wrist roughly, oh no did he not like that? Was he uncomfortable? Oh god I messed everything up didn't I. I'm so stupid this idea was stupid.

"Thank you darling." He said as he rubbed his thumb slowly against my wrist. My stomach couldn't stop churning and my heart was beating so loud it was the only thing I could hear and feel.

He looked into my eyes and smiled a genuine smile. He almost never did this, it was his way of saying "im glad I have you with me" his smile was all I needed to make me feel whole.

"My dear your pulse is going crazy." He said holding my wrist tighter. Oh god that's embarrassing, "HAHA! whatttt pfttt no I think you just suck at feeling for a pulse." That's a complete lie, Silco used to feel for my pulse all the time whenever we would go on dangerous missions. I would always get into a lot of trouble and or almost die. It scared him so much but that was in our much earlier years.

"Hm alright..." he stayed quiet. "Jinx do you mind telling me what happened?"

Jinx plopped down on the desk next to me. It didn't surprise me that she was hiding- she does this a lot and then makes her grand entrance. It scared me the first few times when she would pop out of nowhere randomly.

I placed my hand on her shoulder giving her a reassuring smile. She just looked down with her hands hugging her knees. Silco turned around with a raised eyebrow.

"There was ... a pink haired girl.." oh Jinx...

"You thought it was your sister." Silco said. She gave a sad nod.

"Jinx your sister is dead, it couldn't have been her." I chimed in. She put her head on my shoulder still curled up into a ball.

"I know. Sisters right? Can't live with em cant live without them..." she laughed a little.

"Jinx this will set us back a few weeks. I'll have Sevika lead the next few missions to clean up your mess. Y/n you'll go too as her assistant." Silco said.

"Sevika? She can't clean up a dust bunny with a blow torch!!" She laughed.

"Jinx maybe you should take some time for yourself-" I say

"But I don't NEED time." She leaned back on the desk so her head was hanging over the edge as she messed with the ends of her braids.

"Take it anyhow.." Silco said.

"Argh- whatever." Jinx got up and stormed off.

"Wait isn't she supposed to do your little eye thingy?" I asked.

"I didn't know what time you guys would be back from the cargo shipments so I had her do it earlier today remember?" Oh yes I remember now.

"Okay well im going to go do Jinx's nails now I did say I was going to do it when we got back." I hoped off the desk walking towards the door.

"Silco?" I asked turning back around.

"Hm? What is it dear?" There he goes again driving me crazy with those pet names.

"Do you ever wonder or think that maybe her sister isn't dead? Y'know kind of just like what if?"

"No of course not. Why would you say that?" Honestly I don't know- maybe it's my paranoia or curiosity that makes up these crazy ideas in my head. Who am I thinking- Jinx's sister is dead. We all know this.

"Ha no reason- just curiosity gets into the brain easily y'know?"

"Trust me I know- especially with you and Jinx." I smiled a bit at his sentence. I turned back around and closed the door quietly to not disturb Silco too much with him trying to get back to his work.
