Chapter 5: Never Ends

Blossom's P.O.V

I wake up in the morning feeling happier than I've ever felt before. Just thinking about Kale
leaves butterflies swirling inside. He understands me and I totally understand him too. I love
this feeling, I just don't ever want to let go. It feels weird having this feeling again. I swore
after Tyler broke me down I would never love another person. But here I am starting to
fall really hard for Kale. Could my life possibly get any harder?

After my shower I rush down the stairs wearing a blue sundress, sandals, and I have my hair
in loose curls down my back. As soon as my mom sees me she raises an eyebrow.

"Wow honey, usually your awake after one pm on weekends.... Wait let me guess hot date?" she shoots me a wink.

Huh,even my mom knows what's up. Am I that see through? I guess I will have to work on that.

"mom, I won't be home till after 11:00pm is that okay?" I ask in a rush.

"Yes but be careful and don't talk to strangers." she laughs at her little joke.

I hug her and press a kiss on her cheek before bolting across the street. I go up to Kale's steps and knock on the door. He opens it looking super hot in a blazer, white t-shirt and khakis. I almost have to shut my jaw to prevent myself from drooling onto his feet.

"Hey, what's up Cherry?" he asks smiling at me.

I almost don't reply because when ever he calls me Cherry those shivers and warm feeling creep up my spine.

"Um, I was wondering if you wanted to spend the day with me?" I ask trying to hide the fact that I was nervous as hell.

"Sure, what you wanna do?" is his reply.

"I was kind of thinking the beach but your not exactly dressed for..." I trail off.

"Oh this? I was just seeing if I looked good in it and I can go get changed into something more beachy" he says laughing.

I nod at his explanation.

"Well you can wait in the living room while I go get changed" he shows me his living room.

He bolts up the stairs as I sit on the couch. I look around and notice cute little baby pictures. There's this one labeled Kale's first step and baby Kale is sitting on the ground with a little shocked expression on his face. I almost start cooing at the picture it's that cute.

After a while of looking at his baby pictures, Kale finally walks down the stairs wearing swimming shorts and a billabong tank top. I can see his muscles underneath his shirt and I almost faint. How come I never noticed those before? Am I literally that blind? I guess he sees my expression because he starts to laugh.

"Should I go get changed or something?" he asks smiling.

"No!" I almost shout. "I meant no definitely not" I cover up pretty badly.

"Okay so when do you want to go?" he asks another question.

"How about now?" I ask trying to not sound overly eager. I probably failed miserably, judging by his expression.

"Sure, why not? I had nothing better to do anyway... Well I mean even if I did I would have still said yes" he says getting all flustered.

I giggle as we walk out of his house.

A couple of hours later we're at the beach. We unpack my mustang. We unload the umbrella, towels and sand buckets. Yes I said sand buckets. What type of beach isn't complete without buckets?

After we set up, we look at our work. I slip my sundress off and I'm wearing a bikini. I practically see Kale's eyes bulge out of his head and I laugh. He takes off his shirt then it's my turn for my eyes to pop out basically. He smirks and puts his shirt on top of my dress. I grin when an amazing idea pops into my head.

I'm running when I shout over my shoulder " last one in the water has to buy the other ice cream"

"what- no fair you cheater" I hear him yell.

I'm almost at the water when I feel his arms around my waist. I gasp because of how fast he is and of how strong.

"I think I win, miss cheater pants" he laughs.

"I- " I start but never get to finish because he threw me in. He threw me in! Oh no he didn't.
As soon as I get up, I see him admiring his handiwork. I splash him with the cold water. I see him jump when the shock of water gets on him. I stop laughing when I see the look on his face. He starts to charge forward and almost tackles me when I move to the side casually. I try to swim away but he has a grip on my waist.

"No-noooo Kale I will do anything please don't throw me in again please" I start to beg.

"Anything?" he asks raising an eyebrow.

I nod so hard I feel like my head is about to fall off.

"okay, let's see how about a kiss?" he asks.

I lean forward and kiss him on the lips. As I kiss him I feel him smile. Before I know what he's doing, he throws me back into the water.

"Kale" I start to whine.

He looks innocently at me "What?"

I charge at him and push him in the water. Laughing I jump on his shoulders. He grips the back of my legs carrying me in the water. We spend the whole afternoon wrestling in the water. After we're tired, we go to the dock front for ice cream. After we get our ice cream we walk to our spot on the beach.

Long after we finished our ice cream, he's laying on the towel and my heads resting on his chest.

"What do you wanna do after highschool?" he asks out of the blue.

"I want to become a doctor" I answer "what about you?"

"I want to start a business" he says.

"What's your favorite color?" I ask.

"I would have to say green for now" is his reply.

"why?" I ask again.

"it's the color of your eyes" he says stroking my hair.

I turn around and look into his eyes before kissing him. He wraps his arms around me and runs his fingers through my hair. His lips taste like the chocolate ice cream he just ate. I kiss him even harder and put my arms around him too. We break apart and turn back around leaning my head on him. He keeps his arms around me.

"I hope this never ends" I hear Kale whisper.
