Chapter 6: Moments

Kale's P.O.V:

I stroke Blossom's hair as she slowly falls asleep on my chest. I hear her sigh as she snuggles closer to me. Pretty soon I find my hand tracing the curves of her face, touching her lips and thinking about how lucky I am to have found this angel.

Her long wavy black hair reaching past her waist is like ribbons on my tan skin. With her white skin on my tan, we are like the sun and moon. As she sleeps I think of the song my dad used to sing to my mom to show her his love.

"It's moments like these where I just wanna take your hand

Where I would dance you around the earth

Into the stars

It's moments like this where I just wanna take you away

Where I would take you to paradise

Into the sky

You know I will be your heart, your love, your home and your life"

I sing the song to my Cherry Blossom. I hum the tune softly and I kiss her forehead.
After I'm done I feel her stir awake.

"That was a beautiful song" she mumbles into my chest.

I shiver as her lips move on my chest as she talks.

"I never knew you could sing" she continues.

"I don't anymore" I say to her.

"Why not? You're very good" she asks me.

"Because my dad used to sing but than he died,so when I sing it reminds me of him" I reply.

She looks up at me and stares into my eyes.

"It just shows how broken I am. I don't deserve somebody like you because I'm just a pathetic excuse of a man" I continue hating myself for a moment looking away from her green eyes.

I feel her hands cup the sides of my head, moving me to look at her.

"You may be broken but that doesn't mean you don't deserve anything" she says softly before kissing me on the lips.

After a minute of staying still I move my lips with her and snake my arms around her. I feel her sigh into my mouth and we kiss with more intensity. Alls these feelings swirling around inside me. How can Blossom understand me so well? She looks so fierce but deep inside I know she's slightly broken. Over time I'm going to fix her no matter how long it takes.

We break apart to breathe.

"I've never felt like this before" I admit to her.

"same here. What I thought was love is nothing like this. Being with you is like being in heaven. Where as when I was with Tyler it was just some stupid mistake that I made. Now that we're turning 17, we actually can tell and I know this is forming into something that is surely called love" she whispers back to me.

Than she kind of giggles probably realizing how cheesy she sounds. I laugh with her.

"I love this feeling, it's like we don't have to worry about anything" she says after we're done laughing.

"it sure is" I say propping myself on my elbows moving her with me so we could watch the sunset.

We stay like this for a long time just enjoying the warmth of the California sun.

Blossom started falling asleep again. So I picked her up and placed her in the passenger side of her mustang. I packed up all of our stuff and put it in the trunk. I find her keys and put it in the ignition.

After 2 hours of driving her home she wakes up just in time as I pull up into her driveway and park her car.

"Thanks Kale" she says rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"No problem anything for my Cherry Blossom" I wink at her.

Her face starts to slowly break into a blush as she smiles.

We get out of her car and I hand over her keys to her. She shoves them into her pocket as she comes closer. She hugs me and rises on her tiptoes to place her lips on mine. I grip her waist as we kiss. I pull apart and we just hug. It's moments like this that are so pleasant.

"Have a good sleep" I murmur into her ear.

"I sleep better with you beside me" she whispers back.

I smile and than place a quick kiss on her forehead before bolting across the street. I stop at my door and turn around and I see she's doing the same thing.

She opens the door and than looks back as she blows me a kiss before retreating into her house.
I smile to myself and go in my house. Looks like I'm gonna have a goodnights sleep for once.

I wake up to the smell of pancakes coming from down the stairs. I jump out of my bed and literally bolt down stairs. When I get to the kitchen and I see my mom actually cooking my dads favourite pancakes. I almost stop because she just looks so peaceful remembering my dad.

"Morning mom" I say kissing her cheek.

"Hey honey, how was your date?" she asks ruffling my hair.

"How do you know it was a date?" I ask surprised.

"Well you actually smell good for once and I made friends with your Blossom's parents" she says smiling at me.

I blush when she's says 'your Blossom'.

"Well that's good and it was amazing" I say grabbing plates and forks.

"So do you like her a lot?" she asks me more questions.

Which I answer them all with yes. It feels nice to be talking to my mom for once. Usually she just says good morning and that's it. I think Blossom's parents are miracle workers.After we finished eating I go and shower, getting ready for school.
