Protect You (BTR love story)

Ch. 5

I sat through the award show fidgiting a little bit cause Kendall's hand kept wandering. 

"I swear to God, I know how to tease you in ways that'll have you begging for mercy," I whisper in his ear when his hand tries to go more up my leg. 

"Oh, I have plans," He mutters and I just try to breathe normaly. I mean honestly why is he trying to torture me like this. Him and I give each other seductive looks constistantly through the show. 

Once the show ends we are all taken to a hotel. Not the Palmwoods, weird. We walk in and find Gustavo and Kelly. 

"Ok, so we've got a call that some lunatic appeared at the Palmwoods so we have been moved here for our safety," I hear Gustavo say as soon as we walk in.

My legs give out underneath me, thankfully Kendall caught me.

"He found me," I whisper before I black out completely.

Kendall's POV

Oh dear Lord. Kat has just passed out cause of the news we were told. That lunatic, I'm guessing is her ex Travis. I am currently carrying her up to what would be our room. I pomised to keep her safe and that's what I'm gonna do, no matter what. 

"How much you wanna bet that it was her ex that broke into our apartment?" Logan asks.

"100%?" Carlos says.

"What are we going to do. Kat isn't safe here, he found the Palmwoods, where we live. He'll find her here," James says bring up the valid point. 

"I promised to keep her safe. I intend on keeping that promise," I say as we get to our floor. 

"We want to keep her safe too, the sooner we get on the road, the better off she is," Logan says opening up the door. 

I lay her on the bed and she curls up. I feel a part of me break knowing that the girl I was in love with was in danger, and at some point there was nothing I could do, though, I am not willing to accept defeat. I sit on the edge of the bed and run my hands through my hair. 

"We'll leave you guys, see ya in the morning," Logan says before leaving with the other guys.

I am left alone with Kat and she lays there curled up in that breath taking dress. My mom got here earlier, so she brought over mine and Kat's stuff, she set us up in the same room, knowing that I would be the one who would  be with her at night. I pulled out an old sweatshirt of mine and placed it on the bed. I got changed into a pair of sweatpants. I don't sleep in a shirt. I then work on getting Kat out of the dress. I gotta say that it took quite a while. I finally got it off of her and layed it on the chair. I pulled the sweatshirt on her. I didn't do anything else, cause that would be disrespectful, and I wasn't gonna do anything. I knew what she looked like in a bra and underwear, I mean, we've known each other for forever. She was a pretty hard person to wake up so that's how I did all that stuff without waking her up. 

I pull her close to me and turn out the light. I fall asleep feeling her heartbeat.

Kat's POV

The last thing I remember was being told that a lunatic went to the Palmwoods. I knew that it had been Travis. I didn't want to believe that this was happening.

I slowly wake up feeling strong arms wrapped around me. I roll my head over and see Kendall's face. I smirk at him and cuddle into his chest. I sigh and try to fall back to sleep. I then hear my phone go off. It's an unknown number, so I ignor it, until it calls a third time. I move out of Kendall's arms and he wakes up. I smile at him and head to the bathroom.
